Well, Donald did have 2017 to 2020 to 'fix the FAA'... Originally Posted by RX792P

Google how many near misses have occurred in the last four years and what the trend is....hint: they're increasing.

Also do you have the official NTSB report link where you got that statement?

Why *I* "suspect" the pilot didn't see both planes.

Does anyone realize that it takes 2-3 years to become an ATC? Same thing for advancing to the point that you're in command of a military aircraft. This falls on the Biden administration... unless you're a complete maniac.

Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), a former Army helicopter pilot, also noted the questions surrounding the safety system.

"What we don't know ... whether or not the helicopter actually had their ADSP-out turned on. It sounds like it might not have been turned on, but the Army was very clear that the equipment was actually is installed in the aircraft."
However, the Chair of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Jeniffer Homendy told reporters that the board “didn’t know that at this time,” whether the helicopter’s ADS-B was activated, according to CBS News.
Sen Cruz is one of those responsible for adding to the high number of flights into DCA. He had to have a direct flight from his San Antonio to the close-in DCA, despite a long time warning of overcrowding at the airport.

Lot left to this investigation.
Expect it to be an episode on Air Disasters in about 5 years or so.
