How are those mass deportations going

I see DHS/ICE has 'surged' to launched Operation Catch of the Day in Maine.

Some 50 arrests so far. And yes, the usual "illegal immigrants arrested so far include people convicted of aggravated assault, false imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child. "
Wonder if we will see an actual parsing of arrests so we may see the 'batting average' in getting the 'worst of the worst'?
This is interesting...

Federal immigration authorities allowed a suspect in a $100 million jewelry heist believed to be the largest in U.S. history to deport himself to South America in December, a move that stunned and upset prosecutors who were planning to try the case and send him to prison.

worst of the worst....no one above the law...we will prosecute...
A Democrat?
Yep

House Democrat Jared Golden (D-ME) threw his support behind Immigration and Customs Enforcement deportations in his state on Friday, claiming the federal agency has “the right and responsibility” to remove criminals who are in the country illegally.

“Federal law enforcement agencies have the right and responsibility to enforce federal laws, including immigration laws, and a targeted law enforcement operation focused on individuals who have engaged in criminal activity serves the public interest,”

BUT...
It’s also true that for long-term stability and social cohesion, law enforcement requires public trust. DHS should prioritize its enforcement actions on public safety and must themselves comply with federal laws. Immigrants with legal status should not be targeted, court authorities should be obeyed and due process must be followed.

Seems to be on topic as Trump is talking (or at least appears to be talking) about his deportation programs.

To Dan Bongino
"Two percent of the people create 90% of the crime. You don't have to arrest the entire population.
"We go after the 2%."
"If you take those people out, you have a huge impact on crime."
I'd opine even the limited data coming from DHS/CBP/ICE doesn't support that they are going after the 2%...but rather basically grabbing all they can to meet the 'quotas' imposed by upper management.
Fox reports on Operation Surge results

"President Trump’s commonsense immigration enforcement policies are delivering the public safety results the American people demanded, with more than 4,000 dangerous criminal illegal aliens already arrested in Minnesota since Operation Metro began," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News Digital on Wednesday in response to DHS' announcement.

"Democrats opened our borders and allowed vicious criminals, including murderers, rapists, gang members, and terrorists, to invade our communities. President Trump is reversing that horrific damage and removing these threats from our country," she continued.
"
Despite coordinated attacks of violence against our law enforcement, our officers have made more than 4,000 arrests of illegal aliens including murderers, pedophiles, rapists, gang members, and terrorists in Minnesota since Operation Metro Surge began,"  DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital.

DHS shared a handful of arrests made on Tuesday alone, including: a criminal illegal alien from Ecuador with a criminal history of sexual conduct with a minor and domestic assault; a criminal illegal alien from Honduras convicted of domestic abuse, disorderly conduct and driving while intoxicated; a criminal illegal alien from Mexico arrested for assault/domestic battery, larceny, driving under the influence and possession of drugs; and a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador convicted of trespassing.
OK...3 out of 4 ain't bad. But I didn't see a murderer or terrorist there.
Wonder if we will see statistics on the other 3997 arrests?
'worst of the worst'....

Less than 14% of nearly 400,000 immigrants arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in President Trump's first year back in the White House had charges or convictions for violent criminal offenses, according to an internal Department of Homeland Security document obtained by CBS News.

For example, while Mr. Trump and his aides often talk about immigration officials targeting murderers, rapists and gangsters, the internal data indicate that less than 2% of those arrested by ICE over the past year had homicide or sexual assault charges or convictions. Another 2% of those taken into ICE custody were accused of being gang members.

The figures indicate that roughly 7,500 — or 1.9% — of the ICE arrests involved individuals accused of belonging to gangs like Tren de Aragua,

Yeah, I know it's 'just one guy'...or is it one among a number...

An Irish man with legal permission to work in the United States, who has spent nearly five months in a Texas ICE detention facility, has described the conditions there as a “modern-day concentration camp” in a harrowing interview, detailing widespread illness and competition for food.

Seamus Culleton, of Ireland’s County Kilkenny, has lived in the US for nearly 20 years and is married to an American citizen. Despite holding a valid work permit and being in the final stages of receiving a green card — with no criminal record — he was detained by ICE agents in September 2025 after he was stopped while driving home from work.

Surly all their ranting about illegal immigrants has enough legs to prove this guy should have been booted from this country long ago for his documented nefarious activities here.

What say you maggies?!?!?!
