The European sales drop continues.

Elmo apparently has told Bud Light to hold his beer, though Target is giving him a run for his money on brand implosion

Europeans don't fuck around with Nazis. We should be taking notes, but MAGA has defunded so much education, they can't even find pens or paper.

Maybe that’s why Tesla is trying to rebrand the cyber truck.

Tesla Is Trying To Rebrand The Cybertruck As An Everyman Vehicle

If Tesla's April 22 earnings report made anything clear, it's that Cybertruck sales are in the crapper. Less than two years after the highly anticipated truck arrived, its 1,000,000+ reservations have been run through with fewer than 50,000 actual deliveries, and now the truck is piling up on Tesla dealer lots. Cox Automotive estimates that just 6,406 Cybertrucks were sold in the first quarter of 2025. Because of that, Tesla has quietly been repositioning the Cybertruck and what it stands for. It hasn't worked, but it's certainly attempting to make its stainless steel pile of horse excrement more of an everyman's vehicle.

Range extender for the Cybercuck appears to be more vaporware as sales continue to slump. At least they're refunding the seposits.

Tesla has officially abandoned its plan to sell a $16,000 range extender for the Cybertruck,Electrekreports— the latest in the automaker's struggles with the incredibly controversial vehicle.

This week, customers who paid a $2,000 reservation fee for the extenderreceived emailsfrom Tesla stating it was no longer selling the add-on, but that it would fully refund their deposits.Electrekreached out to the automaker and confirmed the decision.

Per the reporting, the cancellation comes a month after Tesla quietly pulled the range extender as an add-on on its website's vehicle configurator. No official reason for the cancellation has been given.

Fuck him.
His stock will continue to climb, I won’t own it but bad car sales won’t drop it, he has the govt put sorta say where the feds will hand him contract after contract, grant after grant. That and his tech w robotics which feed into taxis, production lines ect all have unlimited potential (if things go perfectly) and having the govt in back pocket, funding and approvals won’t ever be an issue

Good post, nomad. Except the Feds aren't normally in the habit of simply handing out "contract after contract, grant after grant" to anyone they want to favor. Most of the time, they are required to solicit competitive bids from multiple qualified contractors. You know, to save taxpayer money, avoid corruption and all that.

By the way, TSLA's stock price is up more than 18% in the past month. Don't tell Gristle.
