They aren't "falling for it". They just don't have any values. They don't take anything they themeslves say seriously.

I recently asked a right winger to explain what they consider socialism and they posted a youtube video and immediately followed up with "but it might not be right". They don't even know or care about what they believe. They have no real beliefs beyond whatever Trump tells them to believe. If Trump tells them there are riots, then there are riots. That's it. I'm not even sure why we demand proof. They don't. Why do we even take them seriously?
