voter id laws - pros vs. cons

Voter fraud is a myth promulgated by the conservabots to suppress voting by the poor, the elderly and anybody else that they can fuck over who they know will vote Democrat. There's no factual support that it occurs with any degree of frequency that might ever affect an election. It's a non-issue scare tactic used by the GOP to gain a tactical advantage in elections by keeping the people that they know are going to vote against them from voting. Shameful.

I'm not a Republican or a conservative, but I support voter ID laws. Tim, you simply repeat what has already been said here. Try to come up with something new, and something you haven't already heard on MSNBC.

Don't be too hard on Tim, he's a Democrat robot and can only say what he's been programmed to say. The DNC does his thinking for him.

I have an idea, Tim. If the plan is as diabolical as you say, organize a drive and a fund to get all those people voter IDs, then drive them to the polls and vote those wascally wepublicans out! Hell, I'll help you vote out Republicans. I won't help vote in Democrats, but I will help vote out Republicans.

It's a non-issue designed to suppress voters who traditionally vote for democrats. You know it, I know it, everybody knows it.

Holy smoke....39 absentee ballots in a low-level local election. That certainly mandates a requirement that the millions of American citizens who might not possess a photo ID issued by the government not be allowed to vote in a national election. You re-think it.

vote fraud is very difficult to detect if done properly.

even the id card itself wouldn't stop vote fraud, it just makes vote fraud a bit harder to commit.

If the NDAA is allowed to stand as is, the Constitution essentially becomes a placemat. Yeah, the loss of liberty bothers me.

But if you met me in person, I'm a very happy, laid back guy. This is about the only place I discuss politics outside my family. I do have a Gary Johnson for President sticker on my car. But I'm a nice guy. I'd even buy you a beer.
