Hey. If we're posting on ECCIE we're ALL whores to some extent. Originally Posted by jsparrowWhores, man-whores, post-whores....you might have a good point there LOL
I think whether or not someone thinks a word is derogatory depends on the POV. Some words, are, in and of themselves, derogatory. The N word comes to mind, even though some people use it with impunity.I agree Charles! I've been called a MAN WHORE, and all know that I'm not a .... never mind bad example! Hell I am a MAN WHORE! I'm also an attention Whore! Hell I even think I'm funnier than shit! Sometimes I make myself laugh to where I damn near fall out of my chair. But we all know that EVERYTHING can always be interpreted in a fun or positive way and the next person can be totally offended with even the use of a word. So if I offended anyone provider or hobbyist my apologies! But you can still call me a whore. Hell, call me whatever you want, but ladies call me! LOL
There are derogatory words used in relation to other races and/or persons with certain national origins.
But, as far as occupations are concerned, it's a little harder. We could argue, but I think whether or not an occupation's description is derogatory depends entirely on a person's POV. For instance, for some, a "cop" will always be seen as a "pig" or the enemy. While for others, they will always be seen as people who serve and protect.
So, if you are a lady who is OK with the term "hooker" that's all that counts. If you're not OK with it, that counts as much or more.
Me, I try to use the term "ladies" on this board and try to stay away from terms like "hookers," "providers," "whores," etc. Originally Posted by charlestudor2005

Straight from the Merriam-Webster website:

1: a shrewish ill-tempered woman
2: a female fox
3: a sexually attractive woman
Which of the three definitions above would you think most hobbyists have decided best describes you, based on your comments so far in this thread? Originally Posted by mastermind238
