How about Squeaky Fromme? Big time righty? I doubt it.
You have this stupid delusion that Democrats are pure and holy, while Republicans are evil and rotten. There's plenty of rot and filth in both major parties. Wake up from your fantasy, man! You're embarrassing yourself!

No, I don't have that delusion, either one of them. You seem to have a delusion that being a Democrat is the same as being a socialist, communist or anarchist and all those in the U.S. are Democrats. I do have a conviction that the Republicans absorbed most of the highly conservative racist southern elements of the Democratic party and have since run steadfastly away from all values that Republicans held dear prior to 1965.
I have a conviction based on evidence that Republicans have pursued a strategy, since the 1970s, of trying to limit the vote to only those that would vote for them (based on a court decision and justice department findings among other evidence) which is just plain undemocratic (little d) and IMHO unAmerican. Yes, there are some Democrats and leftist crazies who occasionally try the same thing, but Democrats and the party denounce those tactics, while Republicans usually deny they do it despite all the evidence. Republicans also seem to work hard to stifle dissenting voices in their own party that don't toe the party line. I mean you NEVER hear a Democrat saying someone is a DINO because they have a different opinion. This at the very least, no one but the most rabid partisan, should be able to be mutually agreed upon.
Republicans seem to be striving for a one party state and seem to feel that anything done to achieve that, as long as their party is the one, is OK. Trying to game the vote and the voters Constitutional rights is not only unAmerican, but it is tantamount to being a Communist.
Yes, there is plenty of rot in both parties. Both parties are composed by fallible humans who make mistakes and do bad things. Both parties are corrupted by money and power, but the difference, as far as I can tell is that in the Republican party this is a systematic coherent strategy and policy since Donald Segretti, Lee Atwater and now with Karl Rove and his ilk. Republicans now seem to believe in no compromise and "my way or the highway" which just doesn't work in a republic or a democracy. The Democratic party is too diverse and chaotic to be able to effectively pursue any strategy like that, much less keep it UTR.
This whole democratic political experiment is supposed to be a (moderately civil) clash of ideas and policy, not ideology. We might as well be fighting a war between the Royalists and the Communists if we keep on like this. Libertarians... now they are a whole 'nother story.
