Some of the best German fare I've had was in Guadalara. Delicious deep red, lean hamhocks, served with lightly sweet kraut. Dark draft. Good "Mexican" food.

Fantastic atmosphere of combined warm and savory moments.

Don't mean to hijack a taco/racism thread- but Katy now has plenty of authentic Asian places, as good as downtown or Chinatown.
