VLB get over yourself

Devils advocate here....but i do have a serious question.
I spoke with ginger, and i understand why she felt the need to write the thread
(Please dont twist my words....i "understand" why she felt the need, but i "didnt" say that i agree )

But, in another thread....vlb made comments about her retiring, and her reason for doing it.
(I didnt read all of her posts in that thread..othee than she was moving on. Why shes doing it, it is her business. I think its great that she successfully implemented an exit strategy!! )

But my point is.....while she explained her reason for quitting, some ladies felt REALLY upset over her comments. So upset, they were in tears!! (It broke my heart....like really. I felt really sad and in a way...it shined some light on why i should be grateful...but i digress)

So, not everyone was dealed the same cards in life. Heck to be a "provider", some may think we were dealt some prwtty shitty cards to do this line of work. But those that were dealt a less fortunate hand, and basically does "this" bc they "cant" do something else for whatever reason, they felt really low about themselves. I give it VLB, She has a great following, she NEVER speaks bad about anything, and many people, idolize her. So when she spoke her mind about why she was leaving, she inadvertantly, "degraded" some women...making them feel not worthy, bc they are "providers"

Ginger is VERY loyal to her friends. Anyone that is loyal, to a friend whos broken down in tears, and extremwly upset, will have "some sort" of reaction.

Now point is this....vlb, w/o maybe even realizing it, hurt quite a few ladies feelings. (So what? You may say, were grown...they need to put their big girl panties on, grow some balls, WHATEVER! But theyre human and we all react differentky when emotions are involved)
Ginger, felt the need to express her opinion on the matter (and many people feel the need to bash ginger. (Who cares? She deserves it! Youre probably thinking)

But if vlb made comments that upset folks, and ginger went on her barbie rampage....
Why is it ok & justifiable for vlb to feel the way she feels and not ginger?

I feel bad for vlb. Regardless if whats posted is true or not, it must not feel good at all to be im vlb shoes and read this. Regardless if ginger matters in her life or not (as some has stated) it must not have felt good to wake up and read the thread. "IF" vlb has personal insecurities, (as stated) i feel even more bad!!
Not calling her weak, BUT if someone "just may not" feel so great about themselves...then this just SUCKS (before anyone says vlbs not weak, you have no idea what i mean....when were at home alone with just your true self and your thoughts...only one can truly answer that about themselves. )

On the other hand....i feel really bad for ginger too!!! Yes she "started" the thread, in response to another thread....but gosh, you folks are CRUEL!!! So much nasty stuff is about her. I dont care if she "deserved" it or not....as a woman reading this, my heart goes out to ginger. Regardless of what wromg she did in your eyes, you guys have totally chewed her up and spit her out. Some of those comments, sting!!!

I found and read the thread by VLB. I can see where she could have offended some of the providers. If I were a provider I would have taken offense to it as well. In one breath she is saying how low she feels when she provided, how terrible it is to provide, how she feels like a "whore", how providing is not for her. Yet in another breath she says she will continue to provide on an as needed basis if she needs extra cash.

The way I read her post, I got the feeling that VLB not only spoke to her feelings but also bashed the "profession" of providing and belittled those that provide. There is a saying that you shouldn't shit where you eat. IMO she did exactly that by posting what she did. Come on really? You want to go on a high horse and put others down for doing exactly what you were and will continue to do based on when you may need extra money?

I have run across many physically beautiful women in the corporate world that have used their sexiness to get ahead. What VLB did by providing to pay her way through college is the same thing. IMO it is BS to get what you want by selling yourself, then complain that it was degrading and make other providers feel as if they are nothing but "whores" who will be providing until they are grannies. She used her body to get through college and I'm 100% sure she will continue to do so to get up the corporate ladder.

Not sure how many of you remember this - there was a provider here a few years ago that suddenly found Jesus. She came back on the board to post that she was getting out of the business and that she was ashamed and regretted ever having done what she did. I believe she at one point even stated she was tempted to contact the John's SO's and let them know what their hubby's did. Almost all of the responses to her were that if she felt so guilty, then she should give back the money she "earned" to all of her clients. Everyone was appalled at what she wrote. VLB did basically the same thing except she found a good paying real job. Should she make amends by giving back the money so she can feel better? I seriously doubt she will. And many providers bashed her for her posts as well. How is what VLB posted any different (other than outing to SO's)?

Now I’ve known VIP for a long time now. We’ve had many dates and discussions about the hobby and I can speak for when I say that it was never her intention to offend anyone. Her announcing her retirement came as a form or relief (and I’ll use that word several times) and expressing it made her feel good that she is leaving (as pointed out above).


She’s worked incredibly hard in both the schooling department and the civil life. When she mentioned her degrees coming into play, she was simply expressing how hard work has finally paid off. I don’t see why anyone would bash getting a degree. It still takes hard work and dedication. Trying to bash her by bringing up partying and living off mommy and daddy’s money is ludicrous and only factors in such a small percentage of the student population. Trying to use that analogy about college students getting a free ride is about as bad as accusing every African-American of committing a crime simply by their race. VIP used the hobby to gain funds for her college education and now that education is leading to a nice civil job and she has zero student debt. That’s outstanding and I’m proud she was able to succeed and reach her goal.


Now she gets to leave in the mist of the hobby going downhill. She feels that a lot of guys aren’t gentleman like they used too, hence why she’s extremely selective on whom she sees and respects all the guys that have treated her like a queen. Now she has a chance to leave and her words aren’t to say “Whoa it’s me, poor VIP.” It’s, “I’m relieved and I’m happy to be leaving and hope I have a chance to see all the wonderful people out there one more time.” That’s it. Stop digging too deep.


Ok, based on some of her words, she may have hurt some ladies’ feelings. OK, understood. But why post a whole thread trying to bash her. Is this a way to handle some person insecurities b/c we all have them? We all have issues but don’t go on a board and trash other people. It wasn’t VIP’s intention to bash anyone but it certainly was Ginger’s intention. Why is ok for Ginger to lash out and not ok for VIP to feel some sort of relief?



I would like to know which providers were offended by VIP’s word but, instead of bashing her publicly, simply wrote her a PM saying that her words offended them. She would have certainly done that.


I’ll admit, I am a white knight for VIP, always have, probably always will. I can tell you for a solid fact her ads and recent posts about her retirement come as a relief and no way saying, “I’m leaving so feel bad for me” or trying to rub anything in any providers face. So to any provider who was offended I will say, “Get off the cross, use the wood to build a bridge and get over it.” MsKitti said it best when she told the ladies to put their grown up panties on. Nobody gives a shit if you are offended. If you are offended by VIP’s comments, simply push the back button on your internet browser and move on. It’s a waste of time and energy.
