NFL and Houston Texans Superthread: Are we ready for some football?

Man some of yah bitch for everything. If he sucks, they can cut he mofo and move on and just take hit for the upfront money. At least these bastards are trying. Or did yah want them to stick with Brian Hoyer or draft a bigger unknown out of college after all the high potential unknowns have been taken.

The Texans are damn if they do or damned if they don't. Originally Posted by junglemonkey

I would still like them to go after either a tight end or a faster middle linebacker in free agency before the draft. Got enough money for one more good signing.

And if yah think Denver just let him go, you guys do realize they tried to resign him but he cut off all communications. Originally Posted by junglemonkey

They put Manning's decision first, they pulled him in favor of getting Manning the reps going into the playoffs. Hell, he didn't even get any Super Bowl snaps in garbage time when they were getting their asses handed to them two years ago. Denver never made any remarks about him being their future QB. He's had to feel a little like he had been taken for granted.
At least he didn't pull a Mallett melt down.

He did well in the press conference today thanking Elway, Kubes, Fox and on down the line. Reporters gave him an opportunity to take a shot at Denver for the way he was treated and the reports that he didn't like the system and he didn't bite. He said he loved BoB's fire and passion and just wants to get to work.
At 37 million guaranteed though, he needs to be more than a game manager. dude better be making plays.

After what the previous posts stated do you blame him? It's like not this just happened over night.
Provided Hackenberg is still available in the 4th or 5th round, I would not be surprised to see BoB select him. They have too many other needs to use a 1st-3rd round pick on another project QB.

Bottom line, they still have Hoyer or Weeden on their roster to serve as the backup QB.

If I had been his agent I would have told him the same thing. I'd want those calls coming through me.

Well, we'll find out who made out better, Houston or Denver. They just picked up Mark Sanchez.

Because if i told you told you the day after the Super Bowl that the person John Elway picked to succeed Peyton and expected to repeat with was Mark Sanchez, I would be called batshit.

Broncos fucked up but they sure want to keep adding fuel to "wow, he got paid what for 7 starts" fire to divert from Mark assFace Sanchez.

I'll give Rick Smith the credit for growing some balls after looking stupid passing up on Derrick Carr in the 2nd round simply because of his last name. Originally Posted by junglemonkey
