I'd say the easiest solution in the future would just be to ask the provider you are seeing if it is ok to contact her anytime. I personally turn my ringer off when I sleep. Some may not have that option if they have sick family or other obligations. I know there are some clients I can text without fear of getting them busted. Others I know not to text. When in doubt ask.

To the OP:

Sending a quick text after a session letting the provider know how much you enjoyed the session and look forward to seeing them again is perfectly fine. I do it all the time after sessions I've enjoyed, and almost always receive a positive response from the provider when I do. I do, however, send that text right after the session when I'm driving back to the office, etc.

I can see how getting a text late at night could be considered rude - my hobby phone stays off at night, so it wouldn't make any difference to me, but I can't blame the provider for setting her own boundaries.

Sounds like you accidentally violated hers, and then continued to pour gas on the flame after that.

I've been known to send a few wordy texts in my time, and one provider called me out on it...she was cool about it, but it served to let me know that dialogue should be reserved for BCD, during their paid time.

Texting and the like should be reserved for making and setting appts. Quick, easy and to the point...again, if you want to send a quick text after the session thanking them and letting them know you'll want to see them again soon, there's NOTHING wrong with that. Just make sure you do it right after the session and not after hours, etc.
