Bartering

I thought a plutonic relationship was when you stay far away from each other

You are correct, I am guilty of posting from my iphone and not reading over carefully. Once I'm typing faster then I can talk, I start to spell things oddly. Originally Posted by Lauren Summerhill

Just a curiosity question: would you barter for the trip and leave him behind or go with him?

...Personal opinion only: if you're traveling and playing between the sheets, I think it'll be a lot more fun if you *want* to play, instead of putting up with it for the duration of the trip. I imagine that would be a downer. Originally Posted by Lauren Summerhill

Unfortunately, there are not many candidates among my regulars who could actually get away with it - and I am trying not to advertise again locally for a several good reasons.

LOL. That was cute.

I will trade with a lady for an evening of sexual ecstasy. The only question is what are you offering in return? [/QUOTE]

I must say, lil red robin, that must have been a sight to behold, you scantily clad working on a vehicle in the parking lot. Quite arousing really, especially with your own tools, now there is a woman after my own heart!!! what is you favorite brand?

What do you need done woman?
I can do most things.
I've bartered twice with reputable photographers who were clients in good standing for a long time....one I even considered a genuine friend and spent platonic time with. Both situations left them with free sessions and me with unuseably bad pics delivered at more than three times the scheduled delivery date. Understandably, neither are still clients (or a friend) at this time.

I will never barter services again, but I would be open to bartering goods. Anyone have need of a twin girl's bedroom set? I need a full or queen set. ;-)

I love bartering! Anyone have a condo in one of the following ski resorts... Vail, Sun Valley, Deer Valley or Taos? Throw in airfare and i'm yours for the week. Originally Posted by Exotic Lily

Never have I stated that I'm against the system of barter. But she specifically asked about bartering in this arena/hobby, and I politely responded.

Now, outside of this hobby, yes bartering can be beneficial to both parties involved. A win-win situation for everyone placing such a transaction.

Bartering has been, and always will be in existence. Originally Posted by Nicolette Morgandy

It seems to me there was a Douglas Adams passage that best illustrates this:

“This planet has — or rather had — a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movements of small green pieces of paper, which is odd because on the whole it wasn’t the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy.”

This is really kind of silly. What does it matter if you exchange a product, a service, or a piece of green paper. For instance, take Lauren's point:

I'm happy to work with an accountant who offers services to escorts, but I want to pay him for his work with money. I don't want to be asked to provide sexual favours at any point in time when I'm dealing with a professional that offers ANY service.
Let's assume that you book for a consult with a CPA. He charges $450 for the service he provides and she counts out nine of these to pay him:

This same CPA then decides to book a session with Lauren later that week. She is multi-hour, so he will need a few more of these to add to the nine Lauren gave him when she paid for her consult. So here is the question. . .

Can he put those nine fifty-dollar bills in the white envelope with the other ones, or should he go to the bank and get different ones so that it does not feel too much like that scourge of the earth, bartering?

It's as if you're imposing something upon me; it doesn't work like that, Mister!

What may be good for the goose, may not be good for the gander.

Stop grasping for straws!
