Beware of Valet Parking

Joanie,
The real question here is: Where do you buy your tranny packs? Originally Posted by boardman

Luggage is a generally accepted accessory at hotels......Tranny packs not so much....

Make the switch to GSO3 it's way more potent so you need to carry less of it.
The side effects are really blown out of proportion.

Take it easy on our visitor from Ohio, cats! He's already dealt with the MAC upsets this week, and for the first time in ......I dunno.........maybe EVER........I agree with him.

IMHO, you were one lucky MoFo, absolut. Surprised they didn't escort you off the premises. The more I read and the more defensive OP's subsequent posts have been, I thinck I know what may have ACTUALLY occurred.

Once upon a time, at an unidentified high end hotel in the Galleria,

an hourly visitor, irate over the valet losing his keys, might have been a bit more vocal in stating his case than Hotel Security would prefer. And maybe....just maybe....the visitor was causing a scene, becoming unduly argumentative, and asserting his rights to the point of scaring potential guests away? I dunno...just a thought.

And let's suppose, for argument's sake, the Security Director was the one who actually called Houston's Finest to the scene to encourage the out-of-control, fanny-packing visitor to leave the premises. I know....this is way out there in left field, but hang in there with me just a little longer, please.

HPD asks visitor to leave peaceably, and he restates his desire in an absolut-ly calm and cooperative manner. Cops suggest valet search through keys again so that maybe they can get this fashionably correct visitor out of there the easy way.

I dunno....makes a lot more sense to me than original version, but hey, I wasn't there, and we'll never know the Hotel's version - especially since the OP issues a multi-page WARNING against an unidentified Hotel valet. (Yes, I know the hotel of which he speaks, but others may not).

In the end, this is NO warning to anyone - it's nothing more than a soapbox rant.

But it's been SO damn entertaining, I kind of like it.....but that's just me. Hell, where else could I have learned the fashionable place to pack a 9mm in a public place on the way to partaking in illegal activity.

No need to close thread, Mods. I am absolut - ly sure the OP will just ask that it be reopened.

When you're strange. . .people remember your name!

(Will anyone ever forget Anonone? Thanks for the condolences on the MAC, TG. I am still holding hope my beloved Redhawks can muster a shot at going to the MAC championship up at Ford Field in Detroit--mighty awesome providers available up there and there is an awesome hotel with valet parking very near the venue!)

9's got outdated on the TV serials....any way.

When the police were investigating the crime committed upon you and asked for your ID, did you produce your CHL, and did they "secure" your weapon until their investigation was completed?

I didn't catch that part in the scenario at the INCALL! Originally Posted by LexusLover

When they do, I always produce DL and CHL as required by law.

The fact that I was a visitor not a registered guest had nothing to do with the incident. And they had parked the car in line right at the entrance.

I still wonder why they took the key off the fob ring? I feel it had to be some kind of scam, especially since the security guy blew me off and told the valets not to cooperate with me. Had I not called HPD, I would have been left with no evidence of their screw up, and likely would have never gotten a reimbursement.

I would like a few minutes in closed room with that security guy and the cop to set that SOB straight. Not going to happen.

I am done with this incident and this thread.

WILL THE MOD's PLEASE CLOSE THIS THREAD!
