how many vets we got (spinoff of missed chances)

USAF - 1A0X1 - IN-FLIGHT REFUELING Back in the 80's

U.S. Army 8yrs, Was in Germany during Somalia incident and was deployed TDY to Bosnia.

In June I will have 23 years combined active and reserve time. Army Medical Department. Lab Officer on active duty. In the reserve I have had to go for any job I can find. I plan on retiring in 2019. It has been fun. I have been to some cool places.

I remember when desert storm started as my franchise consultant got deployed as he was Marine reserve and he was leader of a howitzer crew. His battery hammered Falushia. So my friends and I decided to send a care package which in the end was about 20 packages full of treats. Got a list of things that they wanted from a wife. They were so grateful.never forget that.

Over 36 years still serving.

Barring a miracle, I will retire as a Lieutenant Colonel. I have 3 more years because I gave post 911 GI bill to my kids last year. Had to promise the army 4 more years. What's 4 years for your children?
