This is some thread. I hobby only once a month (normally overnights). I love the independent ladies that have great reviews. We all have our own problems to deal with (both hobbyists and providers). The thing that bugs me about providers is the ones that are managed. Why these girls are willing to work their butt off and turn around and give it all to their manager? Makes no sense at all to me. I honestly love the ladies that are providing for their kids and families and not wasting their money on crazy stuff. They have got their head screwed on right as far as I am concerned. I don't mind helping out one of these ladies when she is having problems.
There but for the grace of god...

More power to those of you who 'don't' make mistakes and lack pity for those that do. June now, but come September. Life has lessons prepared for all of us, no matter how good we have it or how good we think we are. Best wishes to all.
deanna luv gets right to the point of this mess. joe average/hobbist works 40 hrs a week , (20/hr) makes $800 before taxes pays his rent, car, groceries, medical ect.. then spends a little hobbying. sally sue provider works 4 hrs a week makes $800 (average $200/pop) .most joe average guys would love to work 4 hrs a week for that kind of money. i myself have had to swallow my pride and reduce my rates in order to compete and get jobs.. sally sue provider may need to do the same thing. ironically i see that some providers think raising rates is the best way to generate more income..
of course my opinion is no one selling pussy should ever be short on cash..quite simply no one is too good..and I do mean no one.. to work for less money.. you are only worth what the customer is willing to pay..if you are not making the money you need to survive..then its either time to find a different line of work or lower your rates.
..you can make quick money anytime its needed.. it just takes some swallowing of pride..you know..the same swallowing of pride it hopefully takes to post crap about needing money and gonna make it up to whoever helps.. ya..that same pride..swallow that..and work for cheaper faster money, if you truly need it bad enough..
no provider should ever be broke unless you just ain't worth the effort of a hobbyiest..but hell even at $50 an hour..there ain't to many people making $50 an hour at their career..and its money you don't have..

Well said DeAnn
Every so often someone starts a thread like this.. Thinking that Providers all charge $200 per hour.. Work an 8 hour day.. 40 hour week and 52 week year... Thats roughly 416K per year... Yea Right.. Oh I forgot.. two week vacation... 400K per year...
OK.. lets get some real numbers.. I think DeAnn is pretty close to what most of the girls can expect in todays market.. 2 or 3 guys a week.. Some weeks better, some less..
I have been doing photos for many of these girls long enough to see the ups and downs in the Dallas market.. Right now, Times are tough and many of the ladies are broke come the first of the month.. Throw in a few sick days or weeks , Remember the swine Flu ? she may not have gotten it, But her Kid might have, or other family member.. Most don't have great credit, health care, pay cash for just about everything..
I'm with DeAnn.. It takes a lot to suck up your pride and post a lower rate, Ask for help...
Hell, it takes many of the girls a lot just to even see some of us in the first place.. Read enough of the "Please wash your ass and ball's " posts and you'll see "WE" are not exactly the cream of the crop either...
So without being a "White Knight".. How about we cut the girls in need a little slack and walk a mile in there shoes.... And NO I'm not putting Stripper Heels on for anyone..

Don't overlook the hidden competition. When the economy is robust it is very difficult to even get a dancer to give you her phone number for P4P OTC. The ones that will play charge ridiculously high prices.
When the economy is stagnant you can get phone numbers, some girls will P4P, others just exchange phone numbers so they can send blanket text messages letting several guys know what nights they are working at which clubs.
When the economy goes into a tailspin, dancers will actually go P4P with a friend rather than go up to the strip club, especially on a weeknight when they frequently only make $40 to $60 for the whole shift.
If this hidden competition wasn't out there the advertised providers would have a much larger pie to slice up, and a much better chance to make ends meet.
I understand the walk-a-mile in someone elses shoes ideology. However, there are a lot of providers who say they do this because they enjoy providing. Walking in someone elses shoes assumes that the providers' shoes are uncomfortable and they don't like what they do. I see ads every day where the provider says, "I do this because I like doing it." I would be willing to bet half the hobbiest ask the question, "do you like doing this" when they are trying to get comfortable with someone they haven't seen, yet.
Is it really that difficult a job if it's something the provider truly enjoys? Also, if the provider likes doing it, why might it be difficult to understand that she may only work a few hours a week for the same amount of money as a hobbiest who puts in a full 40 to 60 hours a week? And that hobbiest who is working those hours is probably taking care of a family of 2.5 with a mortgage and 1.5 car payments himself.
If I was a provider and liked sex as much as some lead us to believe, I'd be extremely happy to work 8 hours a week for the same amount of money I made as I did in a 40 to 50 hour per week job.
Supply and demand is huge in the DFW area and competition is rife. I haven't been around this hobby nearly as long as some around here, but I've seen GFE-lite move to GFE and/or PSE to compete in this market. I've even seen some considered HDH cut their regular donation in half.
The problem isn't that some don't understand fiscal responsibility, it's that they don't understand sacrifice. If they choose to be in this industry, they have no one but themselves to blame if they spend money like it grows on trees and don't save for a rainy day.
So who wants that designer hand-bag right now or who is willing to wait until she has a cushion of money before she makes a large purchase like an $800 pocket of designer leather. Do they really have to have a 200 a night hotel when times are slower? Do they really have to have the 1500 a month apartment on top of the incall. How about that luxary car, do you need it right now, or would you be OK with a decent car until you had a solid monetary cushion? Do they want to retire young or spend like tomorrow will never come?
There are plenty of ways to make sacrifices. Hell, I've stayed in Hamptons, Radisons, Marriots, et.al. for less than a bill a night and they were decent rooms. I have even received free upgrades for staying at hotels when using programs like Hilton Honors. Take advantage of the frequent stayer programs and use them for the free nights, there are plenty of ways to maximize profitability.
Thanks guys for all the interesting responses. I found it interesting that many hobbiests were more upset with the questions then the providers (who many thought it was a good, valid question). I just think that before you get insulted for another group of folks, find out if the question bothers them 1st. I also think that when an engaging question such as this comes up on the board, if someone cries TROLL, their credibility is instantly reduced to nothing. It only shows that you cant engage in a civil conversation where tons of people are interested. Sorry for you.

But you also have to take under consideration that to make money as a quality provider, you have to invest, too. Website up keep, advertising and especially a separate incall location expenses are no joke.
Its some interesting posts in this thread...im still not exactly sure where the poster is coming from....im open minded--really -- i am. I guess for me the shoe doesn't fit sorta.
I have a simple one bedroom apartment - I do not have a 1500 incall, i would pass completely out, from pressure of keeping up the payments. Hats off to the ladies who do.
I don't own a car, i bus it and train it to school, and walk or taxi to the grocery store ( if heavy grocery shopping). I guess this makes me one of those thrifty providers.
I have nice things (purses, clothes) i had these things BEFORE i had this gig. I had to adjust. More important obligations to spend my dollars on ie, rent, tuition, books (ouch) and making sure my lights on are. Its still cold outside.
I believe and im going to go there and say some of the hobbyist think we have disposable income all the time, not me, some of the hobbyist think we see people every day, all day, not all of us. Therefore some of us KNOW money management. And how to spend money wisely.
On the flip side, when i got sick, i posted in the ladies section for someone to just bring me some soup, i had the money and i was happy to stick it on the outside of my door, i was sick, i was in no shape to leave my house in my condition, did it hurt to swallow some pride and ask for help from someone i did not know....hell yea......and it looks like i will not ever ask for help, if people question or have a problem with asking for help.
Just my 03. cents Back under my covers, where its not so cold...brrr
In real life, some folks actually work sales jobs with a straight commisison plan or with a meager salary and heavy bonus dollars. Some months are feast, some are famine. Servers in foodservice also have the issue of wildly varying paychecks.
So once again, it all boils down to how people manage their own finances.
