Exactly. They have no idea what truly bad ownership is all about. I have to yearn for the Dan Fouts/ Air Coryell days from 30 years ago and the Rivers / LT teams from 11 years ago so even have enjoyable football. The rest is barren desert.

What Landry, Schramm (and please recall....neither end up accomplishing what they did without the great contributions of owner, Clint Murchison). He had the foresight to hire both men in addition to staying with Landry even during harsh criticisms from fans & media. Along with that, the wisdom to not be a "public figure" (as some owners taking a shining to) while giving ample freedom to both of those future HOFers to Do Their Jobs.

Jimmy Johnson was (and still is) given credit for those SB teams of the 90's....Jerry got the credit as owner / GM (but not near what he felt was due). That much we know.

But Jerry's contributions To The League (well documented) are what got him the necessary votes this year to be elected into this HOF class. Ironically, Jerry's blueprint of the league's Salary Cap has been to his (and the team's) detriment. They've yet to return to the SB since its inception.
