Impeach Trump??? I was on Facebook a while back and a friend of a friend said that Obama should be impeached. I asked on what grounds and he said "Treason". When I politely asked what treasonous act Obama had committed, the silence was deafening. Same here. I see nothing Trump has done that is close to be an impeachable offense.

However, I think his accomplishments in his 7 months in office have been few and far between and minor. I look to his MAJOR campaign promises and say he has yet to deliver in any meaningful way on any of them.

1. Repeal and replace Obamacare. Nowhere close. And without Trumpcare and its proposed cuts in Medicaid spending, many other items on Trump's wish list can't be done.
2. Build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. Trump has threatened to shut down the government if he doesn't get funding for the wall. He still talks vaguely about doing something to make Mexico pay for it.
3. Lower taxes on individuals and corporations. Nowhere close. See #1.
4. Immigration reform. I find this one very interesting. The global review of vetting procedures has been underway since June 19th. It will be 10 weeks on Monday, so the dates are fast approaching when the review should be complete. Let's see what "holes" are found in the current vetting procedures.
5. Job creation and the economy. All depends on one's viewpoint. Stock market is up. Job creation continues to improve. Jobs still moving out of the U.S.

So is Trump a "lame duck"? Much too early to tell. If he can fulfill his promises to the American people, then he deserves to be re-elected. I doubt that Trump's time in office has convinced many of the voters who voted against him last year to change their votes. So the question is whether or not enough Trump voters will stick with him in 2020 if he decides to run again. Trump will be pushing 75 in 2020. Life so far as POTUS has not been a walk in the park. At this point, who can predict what the unpredictable Trump will do?

I realize that the majority of the people on this forum are Trump supporters and will have a different perspective on these issues. So be it.

some of this can be due to the potus's unreasonable expectations of congress which Sen. McConnell alluded to. I think this has more to do with a clash of the working culture.
