The aging escort...

Class cannot be bought. It's that simple. A "snob" is someone who tries to emulate class. Originally Posted by sofiaofhouston

I do think though "class" can and has to be learned. Its not "natural". what do you guys think?

ps: i have to say here that in europe the word "snob" is generally used for people who lead a high roler lifestyle (aka the Porsche driver and buyer and that kind of people) It is not always meant to be derogatory or condescending. Its a label like you say to someone "oh you are a hippie /punk/ and that.

I assume the use of snob is used only as insult in USA? Am i right? Its so interesting for me to learn the etymologic meanings or words and their use in different countries.
Well I'm certainly closer to 30 than 20 lol... And yea, no harm, esp since I get so little done anyway...

The first doc I went to, my botox only lasted about 3 1/2 months, so I changed docs and since then it's lasted me longer. I did notice they use two completely different techniques, perhaps that's something to do with it?

I'm just really OCD about my skin anyways, I use Dior L'Or De Vie La Creme Riche for my face, and Dior LOR De Vie Yeux Creamfor my eyes, and I swear it makes your skin radiant! Originally Posted by Valerie

I thought I'd be able to do it, but hell no I couldn't. Proper scary stuff for me.
Meant to say " can't" vouch for some reason can't edit?

I disagree that the name of this forums suggests snobbery.
I think it was intended as a piss take and everyone sort of knows that.

It also varies from person to person. You and I may agree on what we think class is , yet others may disagree.

Here in the us they consider "shit" as in "I don't give a shit" an inappropriate word but it's not in Nigeria. Saying thing like "You're mad" or "You're crazy" even in a joking manner would get you killed there depending on who you're talking /referring to. It's interesting for sure.

Good lord..
Just now viewing this post I placed here. It has blossomed into a "snobbery" , "class" thread? How did we go to a blog article on aging gracefully by an escort to this? Ok, ok, I guess it was bound to happen. lol

Guess I will chime in since we are on a roll.

"Being classy is not about being stuck up, it is about having style and taking care to be polite to others and to reflect a genuine interest in them. It is also about being confident in yourself."

I do think anyone can learn this. If they are willing. I also think that someone who is a "snob" is someone who is condescending to those of lower social status.

Now getting back to the topic of aging as an escort! As long as I am dabbling in escorting biz through the years I will be fighting the aging, as much as possible because sadly, having "some looks" along with brains is very important in this business of ours. But I am like Beverly Fisher who wrote the original blog, at some point when I do retire officially and completely from escorting, I want to be able to "relax" and let myself just age normally and not worry about it anymore and just enjoy my life. At that point, yes, I too will feel as though I have earned every wrinkle, every blotchy spot on my skin. I will then be fully accepting of it, and show them off like badges of honor!

SOunds snobbish, but especially nowadays where every second avaerage looking woman is an escort and only thinks the best of herself because clients are easy to satisfy with average nowadays, i do find the lack of skills and attractiveness that escorts have , to be blunt - quite embarassing. So for me personally, i`d take it up with any 25 year old anytime in question of looks. Most of them look at their best when 21 to 23 then with 25 to 30 they are already worn out :-), that is because they don`t have the skills a hard working model or escort has in taking care of her body (and brain). I am 35 and i do think i look a lot better than some people ever did in their 20ies. To be old and manage to have the body of a 25 year old due to work out and healthy food and taking care of brain and body is what i call interesting.

When i started to work it was something special to be an escort, you had to have the skills, the brain and the looks, and people took care of themseleves very well. Nowadays, sorry to say, many , and way too many don`t do that anymore. For some escorts its even too much to ask to have miraculous lingerie available. They think victorias secret does it (or any other cheap brand). For me , these things, and not looking like a stripper are what makes a true courtesan. Therefor, I admire older escorts because they *know* and they have the skills. Nowadays everybody runs around in plateau heels because they would drop on their noses flat when wearing "real" stilettoes. Blunt Blunt Blunt. And some of them who wear "almost stillettoes" walk like cows. Hello?? It seems to me nowadays "pretentious" is the "real deal" and it sells.

Some women have photos on their pages that look like i could do them with a snapshot camera. Some even have dirty feet or dirty shoes. I mean DETAILS, DETAILS, that is what matters. Or hairdo. Or stuff like that. I wonder where taste is these days.

I used to remember when i was 18 and started to work for a great escort agency and the owner told me what to wear and buy. I told him that i can`t walk in stilettoes. He was very friendly and funny and he told me: No problem , sweetie, absolutely no problem. We will walk up and down vienna`S street arm in arm so long until you are able to fly in them.

That said, i don`t want to generalize , there are certainly young women out there who have the brains and the skills as well, but the market is overwhelmed with "wannabes" who never face criticism because no one tells them the truth in the face.

Why is that? I think its because of the internet and the "easy" availability. You only need a webpage and advertising and that is it. In earlier days you needed connections and you needed to be "casted" and - for me - that was better, since i have the prejudice that young and inexperienced women ruin the market in the long term because of their unprofessionality and the skills they lack. Which means precisely doing "everything" in bed and demanding almost nothing in return. A skilled escort satisfies a customer without behaving like a sperm bank.. :-) . Its all about magic. And this magic many young women lack nowadays. Not all of them. There still are great women there. But the majority? I am not sure. It has become fashionable to be an escort (at least secretely) without having any clue what being a courtesan truly means. If you look at rates, they dropped increasingly over the years. I mean when i started to work 600 an hour for something that was all safe was the norm . Now the same goes for 300. again, its because of internet and many unprofessional women. Or men.

When i started to work in one of the best and most amazing clubs in Europe (Babylon) the selection was quite intimidating. The criticism too. Nowadays i see homepages of 25 year old wannabee escorts who write a lot of bullshit, act prissy and snobbish but contradict their own words with lousy photos (not even a 5 dollar stripper would look that stupid, but hell - at least we pretend to be ivy league edcuated, even if we look like streetwhore par excellence) , slutty presence , doing customers bareback and whatnot. Sorry to say. :-)

So i personaly am not of the opinion that young women are anything better. Not sounding snobbish, but i am 35 years old and i look a lot better than some of these 25 year olds running around, because i was trained how to keep my body, i was told the truth in my face about style and looks, and
the older you get the more "wise" you are supposed to get, right? And i personally like intelligent people. :-). And intelligence or skills develop more when you get older (again, not generalizing, some people never get smart, but the ones who have true friends who tell them the truth or who worship personality seminars for growth do). This is one of the reasons I admire women from my country. We don't use juvederm or botox or any of that artificial anti-aging treatments. I know a few ladies in their 20s that are getting botox... that's insane to me. Yes we all age but I'm kinda hoping that I still look this good at 40. My mom is 42 and she looks like she's in her late 20s and has managed to achieve this without any of these treatments so hopefully that will rub off. I think one can still preserve their youth with exercise and eating right. Originally Posted by Naomi4u
