Yup...instead of signing CP-3 last year, they signed BP-3.
On a side-note: an amigo mio told me after the kawhi trade, the vegas odds for spurs to win-it-all fell to 200-1.

The Utah Jazz who were 3rd seed last year with a winning record, have the same Vegas odds of winning the NBA Championship as the Cleveland Browns in the NFL who won 0 games last year to win the Superbowl.
Go Figure...
Chris Paul didnt like the situation here. They told him Tony would likely still start when he came back from injury. As well as they went out and drafted Murray, another PG. Paul didnt like the situation so he went to Houston. Then Simmons walked. Pau and Manu got the remaining cap money from last season. Although Pau was a much larger deal, and a terrible one. Impacted this years free agency big time. Luckily. It's off the books after this season. As is a few others.
