Are you a lawyer now? Some states allow the use of deadly force to prevent a burglary. Even NY allows this, but I wouldn't recommend doing so in a county with a liberal judge. That said if one of the rioters threatens you (which appears to be the case here) you are allowed to respond with deadly force. So good riddance to these scumbags.
