David Dorn, a 77-year-old retired St. Louis police captain was shot and killed on June 2 by looters who broke into a pawn shop. Dorn went to the pawn shop to check on a burglar alarm.

Also, not all of the looting was at night. Some of the small businesses were looted during business hours. One that comes to mind, the owner was handing out free bottles water from in his store to the "peaceful protesters". Apparantly water wasn't enough. BLM animals looted and destroyed his store anyway while he watched helplessly. Ironically, the owner was a BLM supporter at the time. I suspect he's since reconsidered.

In fact, Republican actions show they condone it more so than they criticize it.
