Again, your number is off by a factor of 10. Also the number of people who’ve died because of COVID is probably higher than the official count. That’s based on excess death estimates. About 3.3 million Americans died in 2020 compared to 2.8 million in 2019. But the CDC said only 350,000 died from COVID. What happened to the other 150,000? Hmmmm

This is not a death rate calculation :

760,266/333,697,334 = .00227831%

Death Rate = Number of infected people that died/ Number infected

For Sars-CoV-2

760,266/ 50,000,000 = .01520532 or 1.5%

If all 333,697,334 got infected

# Deaths .015 * 333,697,334 = 5,005,460.01.

So if no vaccine and everyone in the USA got infected with SARS-CoV-2 you would have roughly 5 million deaths. Not a scare tactic , just reality.

The Gov is just trying to control the spread. SARS-CoV-2 is like measles, it's easy to catch or very contagious.
