You guys are annoying with all of your "if Obama had not", and "Iran would be far less than 60% enriched, if Trump..."

We get it. The question is what do you want to do NOW? Barely anyone responding to the question. You guys who typically smack each other around gleefully, can barely muster a word beyond the history of how we got here.

I think Trump begins the bombing 120-168 hours from now. No Israeli attempt first. We need all counter action potential in place, Trump needs to meet with European leaders first, but they will not influence any decision. Just for reasons of courtesy. Only thing that would stop it, is Iran caving last minute, which won't happen. Their BS about "were happy to negotiate if you call off Israel" is lame shitt, Trump would look like TACO on steroids if he accepts that. Originally Posted by Capital

B2s to Guam
B52s at Diego Garcia
Diego Garcia is a bit crowded at the moment to get the B2 support teams housed.
Key item not yet mentioned, large amounts of tanker aircraft have been deployed.
Note that with aerial refueling the B2 has flown from Missouri to Afghanistan.

no links yet but FOX News is reporting the US has made strikes on Iran's nuclear sites including fordow.
The Iranians put in a great effort to build nuclear facilities in locations that are just about impregnable to conventional munitions.

It seems that the US does have armaments that can destroy these installations. However, Israel does not have the means to deliver them on target.

So the question is not if the US should furnish the required “bomb” to get the job done, but should the US actually do the deed.

Negotiations are useless. It really comes down to whether we are ok with Iran having nuclear weapons, or do we feel it is worth the effort to insure they do not.

There are consequences involved in either decision.

As a side note, and something to think about. How much easier would it be to deal with Putin’s Russia if he did not have nuclear weapons.? Originally Posted by Jacky S

Fordow was the primary target
Some will disagree but perfect timing
The Israelis have taken out airfields, radar sites, missile sites, etc last few days.
Classic clear the path activity.

Quoting Netanyahu's interview from Friday with Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation:
have destroyed at least half of Iran’s missile launchers
and
We are ahead of the schedule we set, both in terms of timing and results

As a side comment, I'd like to thank Jacky for starting this thread.

A closing comment:
The air refueling wing in Oklahoma has returned safely.

Brett McGurk, foreign policy advisor to presidents, just said that the U.S. gave Iran every opportunity in the world over the last 24 hours to agree to stop its nuclear program. And the U.S. told Iran that it will only target nuclear sites, unless Iran retaliates.

It appears the Trump administration played this well. Let's cross our fingers and hope we're close to the end of this, and don't get into another war.

Pilots return home in time to mow their lawn.

Trump gave Iran every chance to settle this peacefully. Now they're paying the price. With no real chance at escalating anything. If they have half a brain between them, the mullahs will crawl to the table and take whatever terms they're given.
