Did a new movie make it to your top 5 this year?

Hmmmm, I might
Okay so I'm going to show my nerd, I'm super excited about the remake of evildead the trailers look amazing! My next nerd out is...*blushing * deadspace 3 comes out in time for me to get it for my bday in February!!! My parents called today and asked what I want from them and I told them about dead space and wanting a robot vacuum thing . They laughed so hard at me and told me they can't believe I'm almost 30 and they are going to be buying me a horror video game. Whateves! Anyone ever check it out? Dead space 1 is so scary to play alone in the dark with your surround sound on.

I'm normally against remakes, but the new Evil Dead does look good. It would be cool though if Bruce Campbell showed up at the end and it was actually a sequel.

Hail to the King.

I think there is a remake of Single White Female.

I just found a interesting web series on Youtube with Julia Stiles as a provider called Blue:

I only watched the first "episode". Stiles is a good actress (not to mention beautiful), but I thought parts of this were unrealistic, especially what happened at the very end with the hobbyist.

I mentioned this in another thread already, but what the hell.

The other night I watched an awesomely bad film from the 80's called Miami Connection:

It's pretty hilarious, and definitely worth a watch.

It's been a long time since a movie made my Top 5. Last one to make the grade (for me) was Shawshank Redemption.

Yep, Rita Hayworth & the Shawshank Redemption I believe is the name of the Stephen King book. I really should read it. Never been a big fan of his, but some of his work has been made into some of my favorite movies. Stand By Me springs to mind. I know there are a few others. Misery, there's another one.

The Green Mile. OK, enough...

The Green Mile is probably one of King's best book-to-film adaptations.

I like his older stuff, but apart from one or two books his work in the last decade or so has been kind of....blah. The one thing the guy needs is an editor. Way too much padding in his newer stuff.

Probably one of my favorite movies that's fairly recent is Gran Torino. Big fan of Eastwood. Million Dollar Baby was great too.

That was a great scene.
Newest movie on my list...hmmm...Django Unchained

Quentin Tarantino is one sick director but definitely one of the best! Originally Posted by Sweet Destiny
