Yes, I’m not ashamed to admit when I’m ignorant on a topic. So when I went to college in the south, I was heartbroken by the flags I saw on a daily basis. I couldn't understand why a group of people would be so proud of slavery. (Again, I didn't know the flag simply stood for southern pride – good to know.)
