That gave him the opportunity to coach the Lakers.....got the axe.
Proving coaches make little difference in todays NBA.

But the Rockets had Kyle Lowry for a while, and traded him. After watching those 2 teams play 6 games, the Rockets are so far away from matching up with either team. They will continue to be a middle level team. The new owner sounds like he is already impatient to have a championship team.....but since he knows nothing about basketball, desire is not the most effective way to get one.
The Rockets are always getting a splash free agent.....but they never are able to build a championship team. The Astros built one the correct way......their farm system and a few trades put them over the top....not a few trades to get a functioning team somewhere in the middle, and no nucleus.
