Does the hobby vernacular ever sneak into your RL?

In a store guy holding a bottle of cleaner says, "I can't get it to squirt!" I had to hold my laugh when I got out of there!

Hobby "practices" creep into real life (for me) more often than does the language.

For example, occasionally I'm tempted to grab the head of my SO and give her a good FF during BBBJ, or perhaps engage in vigorous DATO. Trust me, either one would frighten her.

A quick scan of the dial shows that there are many hobby-friendly radio and TV stations:
