As long as you keep YOUR nails clean and well kept, you should be able to do whatever you want to YOUR nails. Everything else it's just a matter of taste and style. I personally am a nails person (having them done and fresh is a must for me) and like to try different things depending on my mood. Sometimes I like to go for "happy colors" other times I like something more neutral, sometimes something more trendy, it just depends on how I feel when I go to get them done.
