I’m Caucasian, he’s half Hispanic! When speaking about kids I used the term Momma, then switched because as an adult I call mine Mother! I was raised way up north! We did not say ya’ll or fixen to. Lol.
I notice when you were discussing black people, you said "momma", then shifted to "mother" when addressing the entire racial population. just saying.. little differences in word choices underscores the differences we make regarding different people. it was so subtle you probably didn't notice.

I was raised saying Mother, Father, and such. I moved down south and it’s momma, Pappa, or what ever they choose! My use of momma and mother has nothing to do with skin color! Just to clarify, I’m not trying to step on toes.
