It's become cool to be a dick behind a computer screen. Dallas, this is enough. Calling the old guard..

Oh, stop quibbling, Laz. I didn't say Americans or ECCIE members are in a pure democracy, where we all go down to a giant town hall and cast paper ballots on every issue. Stop burning straw men, amigo. Hell, if ECCIE was a pure democracy, there'd probably be a referendum in which the members would vote overwhelmingly to boot your old, shriveled ass off the board. Haha.

One thing I forgot to say before: What's up with guys calling our sisters here "whores"? WERE YOU RAISED IN A BARN? DO YOU HAVE NOTHING BUT CA-CA BETWEEN YOUR EARS? It's NOT funny. It's NOT cute. It does NOT show us your macho, devil-may-care, tough biker side. We all know that guys who assume that persona here usually turn out to be pasty-faced, milquetoast, IT nerds and accountants anyway. SO STOP CALLING THE GIRLS HERE "WHORES." IT'S RUDE!

Besides, using trite language is boring. Think of all the other words you can use to describe our soft little playthings here, like:

*Sporting girl
*Nasty little scamp
*Fine, fine, orgasm-inducer
*Sexy little strumpet
*Lewd little salami warmer Originally Posted by ShysterJon

Kayla honey, your an amazing lady, I'm glad you still have the energy and desire to fight these dramas.

This "Old Guard", has grown tired and bored with dramas, and is happy to just enjoy the hobby, and ignore the needy "cyber weenies" and "drama queenies"

Love ya girl, you are a pleasure, a treasure.

That's a variation of what we commonly call The Golden Rule: We should treat others as we would want to be treated. Reformulated to be broader:

...

In my view, if there is one true moral imperative, it is this. Those who believe they can be rude to others because they're not responsible for the feelings of others are, in effect, saying there is no commonality among people, and it's "every man for himself," so to speak. That is contrary to basic American values, in my view, and harkens back to those dark places where most of our ancestors came from.

In an advanced, democratic society like the U.S., each of us impliedly consents to be responsible for what happens to others in our society. ...

In a way, this board is a microcosm of this value, this idea that we are stronger by emphasizing cooperation and commonality rather than us each running as a lone wolf. Insults and bickering fragments our little society. By always being respectful to others, we create common bonds that get us what we want -- laid or paid -- and the bonds help to protect us against those outsiders who wish to do us harm.

So don't accept it when somebody says they can say or do whatever they want because they're not responsible for anyone else. Tell such a person they don't belong in America. They belong in some Third World hell-hole where there is no sense of community and only the individual has an identity. Originally Posted by ShysterJon

Heck, even this board is not a democracy. There are appointed leaders who maintain order and attempt to discipline as needed.

i'd say that someone who acts disrespectful towards other then disclaims their repsonsibility is just that - a irresponsible disrespectful inconsiderate non-compassionate person. and is someone who needs to have their compassionate consciousness raised or their ass kicked [as much as i abhor violence].

in most parts of the world, people can say/do what they want.
in any part of the world, people can react how they want to what others say/do.
but, to say you can say/do what you want cos you live in america [or in a democracy or in a totalitarian dictatorship] and are free to do so is pure bullshit!!!
you may be free to do what you want, but you are also fully responsible for what you do [unless you are diagnosed/evaluated as completely or temporarily insane - and if that's the case, you need major psychological help].

I don't have a problem with the lady's ink, just the location. See, I really like big natural boobs. Jules has a cool tattoo and she has great tits. Tits trump tattoo. Even the best tattoo on a pair a great tits is like a bumper sticker on a Ferrari.

Has anyone thought it's ironic that some of the biggest dickheads on this board are of "the old guard"?

I swear that some of the most prolific posters on the board ALWAYS have some negative shit to say... usually sarcastic and snide...

It's not just the providers who get shit on by these guys. It's also any new person who has the audacity to ask a question that the "old guard" judges to be stupid.

I won't say names - but we all know who they are.

I had a few friends from that where we actually did things together outside the hobby - golf, tennis, go to clubs, etc. I met a lot of wonderful ladies as well. It was great fun - and there were 3 or 4 of these parties throughout the year - year after year.

So if we had a party in Dallas - let's face it - it would turn into a drunken brawl in the first 15 minutes. ie 'Oh so you're that fucking SOB... you piece of shit ...' LOL

When I got to Dallas and dove into the hobby scene - I was seeing 2 ladies a week as the rates were/are quite a budget booster so to speak. As for the posting and the community feeling - a joke. As Sir says above, a newbie with the audacity to.... ' Not that I'm a woos, just - why the fuck waste my time with this crap??? No wonder this board will never be like the one in FL.

It's like any 'community' - in business they speak of 'corporate culture' - so there is an 'eccie culture' - and it is what it is.

The same people exist everywhere and probably in similar percentages. Other boards that I am familiar with 'moderate' new members. This means their posts are reviewed before they actually post. Guess how many asshole comments get through the mods??? When you prove you can post in a friendly way (can be disagreement, just not attacking or mean spirited), your posts are in real time. Get shitty a couple of times and you are back to moderated status.

Also, on the other board you cannot have more than one account/handle. You can have an 'alias' several in fact, but the mods always know who it is connected to and that keeps them in line as well. Here, a pissed off client can create a new handle and start a thread on BBFS and damage the reputation of wonderful people.

I'm getting on a bit of a rant - but then I feel like I can say something and not get dumped on. I've been watching this thread and so pleased to see there are so many wonderful people out there... great posts from both sides... and I'll drink to that anytime...

I read rrrabbit's post and couldn't help thinking what a jerk! But it's the reaction people like that crave. If he couldn't get a gasp of a head being shook in disgust he wouldn't have gotten his short-lived rush of satisfaction. If there's anything to be learned from cruel comments like his it's that he's likely lived a less-than-satisfying life. I don't know if he's been betrayed, abandoned, fired or purged from the cadre of people that might call him friend but it's sad that he relishes being hurtful. I agree with what you said Kayla but I still feel a great deal of pity for the OP of the thread you posted. Originally Posted by txcwby6
