Prostitution sting in Frisco results in arrests of over 46 men

Every one of us on this thread knows this, but the best way to help the marginalized people avoid getting exploited is to legalize and tax this hobby. Let the tax revenue go to healthcare and education for the women (and men) in the business. Regulate the industry to provide safe working conditions for the SW.

Unless libertarians go from polling at 2% (on a good day) to a majority, that will never happen. The Dems are just as hypocritical as the Republicans on this issue: they would rather waste money fighting the symptoms of the disease than address the disease itself.

Mini-rant over.

I am assuming you are being sarcastic about a low crime rate in the area--and I understand that. There is a great deal of crime in the metroplex that needs addressing--and I believe that trafficking minors or illegals for sex is certainly one of these violations---BUT
in this case, or both cases there was no nexus for trafficking--or minor violations. The LE set the stage and used their own decoys.. From what I have been able to read so far.
And in my opinion that is just a mis use of the LE system.
Several months ago Houston ran an operation that actually addressed both trafficking and under age--and they were very successful.
I could go on about this if I knew what the court back up and jail cell back up is good.

I definitely believe two things..
there is a much better use for our law enforcement officers--there is actual real crime all over the place
consensual sexual action will never be stamped out.. Go after real kiddy porn violators, under age and real trafficking ops.

My comments are based on what I have read and been told by some folks. I have yet to see where anyone, either police or prosecutor have said who was trafficked or under age.

Forget the first sentence. This is what I posted on the other site.
And I am a very strong proponent of going after under age and trafficking operations. And the is some of that going on in the area although I doubt if it is in Southlake or Frisco.

@shooter6.5: several of the early news reports went even further insofar as spokesmen for at least one of the agencies involved said they uncovered no evidence of trafficking. I didn’t see anyone try to establish such a connection until the FWST splashed it on their front page headline.

I think it’s (some) news media and politicians that are playing up a false trafficking narrative more so than LE.

Been hearing about this all day on the radio. Putting up 300 billboards. I guess they’re ramping up on cracking down on “sex trafficking”. Could be leading up to more stings. Careful out there fellas

One thing everyone should understand is that Frisco is not the place to partake in certain types of activities. It’s only been within the last 10 years or so that alcohol could be served after midnight. It’s still illegal to sell bottled liquor within the city limits of Frisco, stand alone bars that don’t sell food are still not allowed. Hotel management gladly cooperates with LE because they don’t want this type of activity, it’s actually bad for business. The posting of the names of the arrested serves a purpose, the prospect of it happening scares the shit out of most of us. Frisco just ain’t then place.

Complaining on here ain’t gonna accomplish shit. Call your State Rep., State Senator, and tell them that what happens between two consenting adults should be legal(and please let us know how that conversation goes). Funny shit is some of those holier than thou family value hypocrites are probably members of this site.

And just think, there are still some of us who remember when the corner of 121 and Preston was hobby paradise. My how times have changed.
I found the cop.
You guys are lazy. You’re wasting taxpayers money.
If you want to do something about human trafficking, go to where it is actually happening.
If I have to explain that to you, you’re even lazier than I thought.

They’re smarter than you realize. They can rake in federal dollars by manipulating the press and politicians.

The cops on the beat surely know these busts were a waste of time, as far as truly fighting trafficking is concerned, but their supervisors are playing to their audience.

This is why I think “The Wire” was the best cop series ever aired. Switch prostitution for drugs and it’s the same damn thing.
Private Lives, Aprils, The Doll House, Michelle's Ranch. Fond memories of good times.

Great memories of the 121 tub club. I got laid there at 20. It was a wonderful 30 seconds.

It was a drive out there, but I made it many a time. The flat middle of nowhere, too.

Lol. That’s the funniest tweet I’ve read in awhile. I read through some of the replies and there are folks who say they have followed up and it’s real, but I still don’t believe it.
