They agreed to sign and be bound by the NDAs in return for payments. Cohen drafted the NDAs, paid the negotiated amount to each woman, then turned around and billed the Trump Organization for reimbursement of "legal services".You have elucidated the case correctly but came to a false conclusion. The payments made to cohen aren’t legal fees but rather reimbursed payments to the women who signed the NDA’s.
Seems to me what Cohen did was accurately described. He performed legal services for the Trump Organization and was paid for them.
What am I missing?
