Rooster,
Truths are truths, no matter how poorly or eloquently written.
It funny to watch the lifespan of a mod.
They start out fresh, with ideals and morals. They are "moderators"
After time, they become jaded. Free/discounted sections, and the belief that the board can't survive without them. They have become "goderators"
The great fall. Believing they are untouchable, they finally hang themselves with their own rope. They are "ambassadors", or guests when things have gotten completely out of hand.
It's a great mod who can walk the tightrope, and not think he is god nor suffer total burnout.
I personally feel that the best mods are dead mods, even if we have to kill them first.

tex, you have GOT to come share these pearls with us more often.
Wait... lemme try....
Let's go with "the lifespan of an ECCIE frequent poster."
They start out fresh, with posts that contribute to the forum. They are "members."
After time, they become jaded. They don't do reviews any more, but they believe the board cannot survive without them. They become.....
Ahhh, the hell with it. This is a stupid game. And you can't even get quail's lame-ass joke, so probably won't appreciate one of mine.
We don't need ya' here, tex, is my only real point. You write a little better than JB and OSD (emphasis on "little"), but they put more genuine meaning into one snarky comment than you have put into this whole thread.
