What's Bad About a House-to-House Search?

If you are in the Dallas Metroplex and the tornado sirens go off,

RUSH to Cowboy Stadium. There is very little likelihood of any touchdown there!

Wow. I'm amazed at how strongly you people will defend tyranny. What if LE wanted to shut down Chicago to look for the 40 or so murderers from the night before? What if LE wanted to shut down Seattle while they search door to door for a serial killer? What if LE wants to shut down Houston to search for a dissident spouting anti-government slogans?

You people are brainwashed. This thread is like reading an Orwell novel.

All I did is point out the parallel between the statements "no one here has made" (but make all of the time - just look at the thread titles) and an absurdly extreme example of anti-government paranoia stripped of common sense. You know, like most of the Teawipe Parrotriots' "discoveries" they generously share with all on an hourly basis.

Since the motif is to throw off the bindings of "sheepdom," our next exercise is for you weak-minded paranoiacs to drive, en masse, east on westbound 635 at 5:30 any weekday afternoon as a show of your willingness to break free of further government control of your libertarian urges. Federal money, federal highway, rules to make people act a certain way = bad. Please be sure to turn left on red after stop, too.

Well here's a conflicting article, saying the suspect wasn't armed while in the boat. So no exchange of fire could have taken place.

If the flashes were devices activated by LE then those flashes will be distinctively different from muzzle flash from a firearm inside the boat. If the initial reports either way are wrong, the imaging will bear out the results. Additionally, the imaging out to provide some idea of the number of rounds fired, and depending on the agency policy for each officer present an accounting of rounds would be included in reports (some agencies issue ammunition with accountability, others require discharge reports by individual officers).

I don't give LE a pass for lying (intentionally misrepresenting the facts), but given the history of the prior events in which this suspect was engaged and his apparent refusal to give up in the initial stages of the confrontation prior to any gunfire could justify the deadly force. Frankly I am surprised he survived any significant salvo in a fiberglass boat.

Unfortunately for the general public we may never know the FACTS, but I am willing to hold my opinion of a gunfire exchange based on the conflict until credible direct evidence presents itself, as opposed to reports from some unidentified source (meaning specific person with direct knowledge and authority to release the information).

To answer the OP question:

What's bad about a House-to-House search?

That one has to be made in the first place.

Now we're back on topic!
