I'm one of the people that voted against you. Now, as it gets closer to you deciding whether to sleep in your own self created bed, I kind of feel bad about it. You actually seem like an OK guy. The problem is every one of your posts, including this one, is about "look at me", "see how great I am", "see how great the ladies think I am". I just think a little modesty goes a long way, and you don't show any. Doesn't make you a bad person, but it annoys many of us.

Personally, like I said in the very first post I made in here, I don't give a damn whether you leave or stay. So, the whole point of my posts to you in here were not to make fun of you or bash you, but rather to hopefully help you think about why (in my honest opinion) you've gotten on so many people's nerves here on ECCIE.

I've had to learn the hard way in my life to take constructive criticism and use it to better myself in my interactions with others. When I was younger, I couldn't take criticism of any kind without getting all bent out of shape. I've learned other the years, however, that I DON'T have all the answers, and that I'm far from perfect. So when multiple people start pointing out flaws that I may have, I've learned to pay attention to it, and use the criticisms to attempt to improve myself.

The bottom line is, whether you leave, stay, post, or don't post doesn't affect the amount of times the rest of us get laid in any way. And getting laid is the whole point of this place, isn't it?

Yes, I DID use "I", "me", or variants thereof 31 times in this post, including the ones in this sentence.

Tony I don't think you are annoying at all. There are much more annoying entities on this board who post just as much if not MORE than you! Atleast you don't go around complaining about providers and hobbyist all day and actually try to stay on positive level with your posts.

Some people get on this board to type up as much negativity that they can possibly think of on any sentence they read. You are probably too positive of a person for a dark discussion board like this one.

All of us guys are more alike than you all might ever think or care to admit. My one vice is I really just don't give a shit if someone likes me online or not. In the real world most people like me, especially women. Hell I'm the ideal wingman. I can get her to laugh and meet you guaranteed. It took decades of practice. I still practice everyday on almost every pretty girl I see. I'm more than willing to share too. It's actually easy.

Women are drawn to confidence, but because of political correctness and liberalusm, men.are taught to hate. Now Nancy Pelosi hates it too, but I'd never talk to her.

I kind of regret putting up the poll too, but I knew which way it would go, and I'm willing to keep my part of the bargain. Honoring my deals is what I do. Ask anyone thats ever met me. And you do know people that have met me. The world is smaller than you think, I've been around it.

I almost made it a public vote so we could see who voted which way, but that wouldn't have been fun. Way less votes would've been cast. It's pretty sad to see how fast it petered out too. I thougt coed Dallas had more lurkers and players. I guess not. The poll ends Monday sometime, but I like fresh weeks. Tomorrow will be it. Likely one post and done tomorrow.

Well I won't tell you what I'm convinced of about you. I prefer the word provider or lady myself. Sometimes the word hooker fits the tone better, and from what im told its how at least some here treat the ladies.

Hm, well to Tony's credit this potential going away thread has quite a few pages to it. I would think that's a reflection on everyone, not just him.

That being said, Tony, I don't have a dog in this fight. I'm one of those that isn't impacted either way. Do what you gotta do, man. Some observations:

1. You are correct about how much time you'd save by leaving. So you're up over 700 posts since July? Without the math I'm gonna say, what, you're averaging 7, 8 posts a day? With all the hobbying you claim to do (plus eating, sleeping, I assume you shower, etc.) you really must be wealthy, glued to your PC doing IT, live in your mom's basement, or have some other lifestyle which allows you a lot of free time. Yes, you would get a shitload of time back.

2. Dude, I get that you're a pretty sharp guy, but there's no need to condescend people here, as if having a political conversation with you would somehow be above folks here. It's already been considered; it's called the The Sandbox. There's some good pontificating going on. You might meet your needs better over there (sorry Sandboxers).

3. I find it off that on one hand you're a free-thinker, nonconformist type, but then you need the polling of others in order to make a decision on whether to stick around. (And maybe I misunderstood, but did you say in one of your posts that you resorted to polling to challenge people's thinking. Sorry I can't quote you. I'm not the quote raven that some of these folks are, but surely you realize that's absurd.)

4. I have some other thoughts, but I think I'm done. I don't really have a point other than this: I think what people sense about you (and obviously I can't speak for everyone) is that there's something off, something disingenuous, something inauthentic. Now, I realize we're all typing away on a SHB, but with you there's seems to be something more. But I guarantee it's not that you're challenging people, or making them uncomfortable.

5. In one post you were replying to the guy with the polar bear avatar - cool guy, I like his posts when I see them - but you said something about "staying and fighting the good fight." Dude, there's no reason to romanticize it. There is no fight, good or bad: You're considering leaving the board. You clearly we're not certain, otherwise you would've just left, with or without an announcement, but instead you felt the need to poll the community.

Just do what you've got to do. Leave if you feeling like leaving. If you're uncertain, and then miss it, just come back. You don't need another handle. Down the road if you comeback you won't need to "reinvent" yourself, just log in. And since you seem like the romantic type...when the hero cowboy rides off into the sunset, at the end, he doesn't look back over his shoulder to see who's watching, and who cares, he just goes.
