This is a great topic. As you may notice, I only have one review and have been here 2 years. I do not do reviews and do not plan to do any that detail my escapades. However, I believe that I contribute to this site.

1. I pay for my access. After all, it is money that keeps this thing running.
2. I happily offer assistance to someone if they have questions
3. I have referred quite a few gentlemen to ladies I thought they would enjoy.

I do not do reviews as I have issues with kissing and telling. I will be happy to share my info with anyone who may need it. It is my belief that you need a good mix of people that pay for access, people that review for access, and ones that do both. As for the lurkers, I think more would come forward if they did not get smashed, flamed, or otherwise abused when they do. All that said, I appreciate the people that do post information. So, I contribute with my membership paid. If the providers can't go to the trouble of giving a referral, why give a review? I was surprised when a provider told me she didn't know how to give a referral.

I really like these boards and believe there are some good people here. I've met people offline and feel very comfortable with them. It's nice to be able to talk about anything. I'm not a writer and most anything I'm going to write isn't going to "be me".

I write reviews now for the following reasons.

1. I want PA and don't want to pay for it. PA helps me in making hobby decisions.
2. I like to provide a quality review that helps the members make informed decisions on whom to spend their time and money. My reviews don't just list a bunch of acronyms. I try to talk about screening, TCB skills, incall conditions, etc.
3. It helps out the provider. Some providers use this and P411 as their main source of advertising. If I have a good session with somebody that I like, I feel it's appropriate to write that review.
4. Reviews help with the hobby checks and balances. Hopefully I'll say this in a non offensive way as that's how it's intended. I feel like if I contact somebody thru this site and they see that I'm an active reviewer then they know I'll likely write a review. Providers don't want to receive a bad review any more than I want to write one. It can really work out great for both parties (in theory anyway...didn't hold true for a recent experience).
5. Reviews can give hobby credibility. I'm active, I've seen providers, it's easy enough for another provider to verify that I've seen who I say I've seen. It can help with their screening and it helps me when I'm trying to setup an appointment. If I have a question for another member, I think the fact I've done plenty of reviews will put them as ease and they may be more willing to share information. Originally Posted by L.A.

I agree with all of the above. I tend to be drawn towards mature, experienced providers who are all well reviewed. Even so, it is important to both the members of the community and the ladies to continue recent reviews. There for, I have reviewed almost all of the ladies I have seen.

The exceptions were great experiences with very well known ladies that have gone semi or fully UTR. I respect their decision to play in that capacity, discretion is certainly a two way street as long as we are both playing respectfully.

The ladies that are actively promoting their business have all been grateful for the reviews I have provided. I have yet to have a bad experience, so have not had to draft a NO review.

Other ECCIE research plays a great role in why I have had only positive experiences. As Tin Man pointed out, Intel comes from many directions. Comments from hobbyists in Coed or ML, comments from providers in Coed. Intel can be positive or negative. Either way, its only helpful if you name names.

Besides reviews, I am a huge fan of the Best Of threads, particularly those run in ML - they have been a key starting point of my research process. As such, I also frequently contribute to these types of querries.

The high-five comments on reviews are of little value to me, but the clarifying question posts on reviews can be helpful in soliciting additional information from the reviewer. It's also nice when others add missing contact info, correct web site or showcase links, and pictures (which I do not take in session). So I have mixed feelings about eliminating the comments. I think some good information would be lost, but then again, some unnecessary drama would also disappear.

Off topic, thanks for the avatar switch Tony. This one is much more pleasing to the eye.

While reviews can be very useful I am of two minds about them. On the one hand positive reviews are great for business on the other hand they may leave one vulnerable.

I have heard from some that reviews can set future expectations that may not be realistic since for a real GFE chemistry and mood have to come into play. What may work with one person may be completely different with someone else.

In my opinion a genuine GFE is one who seduces, entices, performs, and leaves a lasting impression that is unique. It is very much like a tango. You react to the movements of your partner and no two are identical.

I bitched about Tony's avatar not yours but funny you said that as there are SOOOO many similarities between the two of you.

As much as has been posted about closing reviews to responses going way back to when men were men before Torito became the non-review club mascot and mollycoddler for the selfish, sanctimonious justificaction for not participating gasbags, nothing has been done about it. It has even been posited that closing reviews to responses would cause coed to explode with even more dumbfuckery than is already in evidence. I find that impossible, but inevitable even now. I made a very good post telling exactly why I think they are important to this site and to me personally so yes I have an opinion on those who use the site and don't contribute anything useful.

Now for my actual opinion about you...I think you're a waste of bandwidth. I think you contribute nothing to this community. I think you enjoy being obstinate. I think you are a reincarnation of another member..maybe not Tony but somebody. I think I've seen people like you come in full force, rock the boat, and then disappear.

I typically see the same few providers now. When I see somebody new I will review them. When it's been a long time since my last review of somebody I see regularly I review them.
