Let's get a little bit back on topic. So Jinny, other than this calling that you have , what other professional field have you been in most of your life? Will your social security be good? How does that look like? Mine says for 10 years of work about $850 at this point at full retirement age but I have more than 3 decades to work until I can get it. About 33 years. This is what it says NOW.

The smart person hasn't depended on SS to be a valid retirement option for quite some time now tits. Especially with so many other more viable options to choose from.

Although mine will be a nice nest egg as it is.
I'd disclose a figure, but I wouldn't want you to break your computer in a fit of jealousy since yours is so paltry.

The maximum SS paid out currently is about $2800 a month but to get that you must have worked 35 years of your life at the top rate they taxed for SS which nowadays is 117000 or so. I doubt you have made the maximum for each year starting at the age of 21 till you actually do retire so we know it is less than $2800 for a fact :-).
