Guys- How Many of You Dont Hobby but Still Get on The Board? What Are You Doing on The Board?

I post here because the California forums are boring as shit. I travel to a few states and rarely participate because it's either boring or I'm not familiar with the other posters, their inside jokes, drama etc. In Austin even if i haven't fucked you or met you i probably know a little about you or have second hand sucked you lol. and here's why: Eccie exists to make it's owners money. It's profit generator. Forget the name or what it stands for, that's just marketing. Eccie loves lurkers. Lurkers PAY for premium access. Mongers PAY for it too by generating content lurkers want to see and they do it on their dime. Not a bad deal for the owners. Lot's of lurkers probably click those banners too. That means more $$$ for the owners. Without lurkers paying the bills there would be no information to exchange at all. If it's that important to you there are other options. Start a yahoo group, a google group, a meetup group, whatever makes you happy. Eccie is about making money. It "belongs" to it's owners.

Maybe SL should ask for some profit sharing... Originally Posted by junkweed

Most of the revenue is the advertisements, banners, and pop ups.
It's reviewers and provider ads that draw the viewers of those ads, not lurkers!
I just wanted to know what my SO, DD, was more than likely doing on the boards! He tells me he doesn't hobby since falling madly in love with me. Statistically, it looks like option 1 or 2. But who really knows. He was probably just fantasizing about me. Only ME. This has been quite amusing guys. Originally Posted by Scarlett De Rossi

I may be a leech, or maybe us lurkers are just being lured in by a loss leader in the manner intended by the business owners and on our way toward becoming contributing members.

But I know that you're not one of those business owners without even asking, because you have no concept of marketing. Few trolls do.

Please, illuminate me. I'm curious. Originally Posted by Scarlett De Rossi

Can't help but notice you don't contribute money either, more leechingreat Mr. Gaining Momentum hahahaha.
Should read spinning his wheels.

Think back ... how long were you a member before you posted your first review? What is the average among established hobbyists? And were they harrassed and cyberbullied when they first arrived, like you've done to me?

I am deciding whether I wish to become a contributing member, but if this is your welcome ...
If you're a pussy that is all sensitive and shit, I'd say log off this place isn't for you.
When I joined in Jan 2011 I didn't even log on until Apr.
At which point I saw about 20 providers in 6 wks, and reviewed all of them.
As far as my vitriol as you call it, others call it calling people on their bullshit, and saying the shit they are too afraid to say.
Unlike trolls I go out and socialize with people here, because I wish to actually be a member, and not someone who hides behind their keyboard.
Everyone likes to point out the number of post, but I hobby in 3 cities and post in Dallas as well as 3 private forums that are invited membership.
So just a couple bouts like these and you have hundreds of post in a week.
Real easy to do in our mobile world of today.
There are far more harsh folks on here than I, which you will discover.
Don't expect a Welcome Wagon or respect til you become a contributing member.
There are no instructions on how to act here, nor any for hobbying.
Get some thicker skin, let It bounce off of you, or run away crying.
I don't give a shit.
But no one will take you serious as long as you are a lurker, except maybe another lurker, but hey they don't post all that much, and aren't listened to much either.

I would disagree for the simple reason that there are pros and cons to everything. Sensitivity certainly has its disadvantages, but I'd argue that being insensitive to the feelings of others might also have its disadvantages. I won't go into either in detail, because I know your type. You'd just use it for ammunition.

Don't expect me to become a contributing member until you back the fuck off. Your behavior is antisocial and unpleasant. It has crossed the line into cyberbullying, so I'm probably never going to do anything you ask of me until I damn well feel like it.

Including going away. I once worked for a shop that had a union, here in Texas which is a right to work state. I was mulling over whether to join the union, but the harrassment that I got was just phenomenal, because I wasn't a dues-paying member of the union, which was optional. Voluntary. My choice, and nobody else's.

If you don't get that, I can't help you. That's not the way that you get people on your side, by insisting that they be on your side or you'll fuck with them. It tends to do the opposite.
Well there you go pussy, but don't for a second think that I'll coddle your baby ass, nor will I back the fuck off.
So keep acting like an uber intellectual on a hooker board, and people will continue to tell you that you're out of place, and nobody cares.
You'll get tired of it and disappear sooner or later, and life will go on here.
Nobody cares about you, or how fucking smart you are.
The ladies only care if you're going to make appointments, and the guys only give a shit about intelligence on pussy, not you being one!

But I probably did come off a little superior last night, and I apologize for that. It was really more an emotional reaction to being constantly badgered by you. Why I offer you an apology, I don't know. You don't deserve one.

But there are a lot of different types of intelligence. Some people have book smarts, some have street smarts, others have people smarts. There's even music smarts, and other kinds of art smarts. Everybody's different. It's not a choice that we make.

I'm sorry that people in school made you feel like a dumb-ass. I was uncoordinated, so people made me feel like a spazz. That's just the way life is sometimes. It's apparent that you are sensitive about this, because otherwise you wouldn't feel the need to lash out like this just because I disagreed with you on I forget what now.

rockerrick and rrousseau: take your meta-discussion/insult-exchanging-duel elsewhere, or perhaps just drop it all together?

Back on topic, please!

ztonk
Papa Tonk, I gotta disagree with you. The weird internet fight thing above is probably the best example of why many lurkers lurk.

I fall down all sorts of rabbit holes on the internet and check back on certain forums for years without participating (Christian Domestic Discipline blogs, anyone?). I'm sure if I found this board and had zero interest in being a hooker, I'd still easily get sucked in and come back. The power dynamic of this place alone would interest me (not Whispers/SL vs. TSInsertNameHere but male customer vs. female service provider). Naked pictures, blowjob tips, bar recommendations and trolling funny showcase pics would keep me interested as well.
I actually believe that statement sir. Thanks for admitting it. Originally Posted by Whispers

That would totally deflate the Whispers pimp limp and impede upon those bragging rights or is that claim to fame? lol

All I can say is my "Fictional" scenario is a hell of a lot more credible than your endless claims of baby booty conquests over the years.
Whatever makes you feel better. At the end of the day it's all the same to me.
You be da king of baby booty on Eccie.

I really had no business bringing it up to begin with but after a late night glass of malbec and a desire to stay on topic....

Just for the record unlike my "Fictional" group such little close knit groups do exists. Because of places like Eccie, BP, P411 etc.. the idea of play for pay is no big deal to alot of younguns but they simply don't want the stigma or risk that's attached. They just see it as uncomplicated sex that won't interfere with studies and provides weekend play money. This is what some fictional characters tell me.

Of course this can't really be so because if it were the all knowing Whispers would know all about it.
It just might be possible oh Great One that you are out of the loop because you'll never find these students at strip bars with daddy issues. They generally have normal home lives and I'm sure some probably go to church with the family on Sundays.

Get away from the strip clubs and expand your circles. You never know what you might find out there. Especially in this age where sex is no big deal to most coeds.

I'm just blowing hot air of course because as we know I don't post reviews on Eccie.
