National Signing Day is tomorrow. I'm predicting Texas will have another good class and I wouldn't be surprised if they finish in the Top 10. Originally Posted by PrettyBoyG

Sure hoping so. We need about 10 lineman.

The dominoes are falling. Texas just picked up another 4 star recruit at 10 pm. A 6'3" 290 lbs DT from Louisiana. Tomorrow will be a really good day for Texas.

I saw where we got the # 1 safety in the country. I saw this morning on TWC news they were set up at Manor where 10 kids signed today. 1 was a 5 star deciding between us and LSU. Did we get him?

He was already committed to LSU but he flip to Texas. I was really surprised. I read that he grow up an LSU fan but mom and family were Texas fans. I guess he wanted to make mama happy and flipped to Texas. It was huge get for Texas. He is the only 5 star. He is expected to play Fox End.

Texas just picked up another 4 star DT. A 6'5" 300 lbs kid from Houston. That makes 5 DT, 2 DE and 1 Fox End.

They did well. Now lets see what Charlie can do with them. It looks like our D ought to be as good as anybody's. I was looking at the Fab 55. How the hell did Ole Miss come in here and grab the #1, # 5 and # 31? I get LSU and Bama but Ole Miss? A&M going to the SEC seemed to open us up to everybody.
Hugh Freeze is a good coach.....and evidently a really terrific recruiter, as well. I thought (as the clock was winding down on Mack's final season) that Freeze might be a consideration (since prying Saban out of Bama was nothing but a pipe dream of the disillusioned).

As we've seen over the years, great coaches can go anywhere in the country to recruit top notch talent.....case in point, look where Harbaugh went to find his newest players. From the 247 Sports Top 100 listing, he grabbed 7....two from New Jersey...two from California....only one of these players was actually in-state.

So what Hugh Freeze did...grabbing these studs out of Texas...it's not all that surprising. A lot of other schools helped themselves to our talent pool, as well. Maybe the A&M / SEC thing is valid and helped Ole Miss more than in previous years.....still too soon to really know for sure.

What's somewhat surprising to me is the job being done at UH by Tom Herman. If he keeps going the way he is, there's little chance the Coogs will be able to hang onto him as other big profile job$ open up over the next few years.

Buechelle looked great last weekend! How long is Heard out? Swoops looked like shit. With those 2 big power backs I wonder if they will even use Swoops on the 18 wheeler package this year. I thought he looked good and was very effective on that last year. poor guy...they talked about making him a TE. I wonder if they have worked him out there.
Our WRs did not do Swoopes any justice. I'm not defending Swoopes, but our WRs dropped a lot of passes. The O-line didn't look to great against the walk ons playing Dline.

Heard should be back shortly. Buechelle has upside and I like him because he knows when to get rid of the ball, unlike Swoopes and Heard.

Strong needs 8 wins to keep his job.
