Are You Ready For Some Football ?

Amazing how bad Eli can be and how much Giants fans apologize for him. You won 2 rings in spite of him, not because of him.

I think Zeke breaks the record, we see a bunch of second string and Romo sees the field in a second half. Likely against the beagles.

Too many more well known players better than him in the NFC at LB.
COWBOYS CLINCH NFC EAST TITLE, HOME-FIELD ADVANTAGE

Now you see the results when you take the GIANTS WALKIE-TALKIE AWAY. New England coach Bill Belichick has illegally used cameras to spy on opposing coaches and told the New York Giants not to use walkie-talkies or deflate any footballs. lol

so.. now that the Boys have home-field advantage sewed up.. how do you handle Dak? or Zeke, for that matter? AFAIK, neither guy has been injured for a single play this year, but you never know..

I think I would play Romo the second half of next week.. that's it.. Zeke? I trust he will stay healthy, and he gets a week off after 2 more games.

and while I'm at it.. why didn't Sean Lee make the Pro Bowl???!! Originally Posted by Chung Tran

But, that said (considering his history with freak injuries) you treat Sean Lee as if he's made of Romo-like materials (ie: put him on ice until you play your next "meaningful game").
You can lose certain players on this team and (maybe) survive to play another day....but lose Lee and that defense hasn't a prayer round one let alone making it as far as the SB.

As far as the Pro Bowl goes...who gives a rip about an exhibition game? It's the ALL PRO TEAM that actually means something. And Lee should be on that team whether there's bigger names or not.
Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott is on pace for the best completion percentage (67.7), TD-INT ratio (20-4) and passer rating (103.2) by any rookie quarterback in NFL history.

Elliott has the second-most rushing yards by a rookie through 14 career games since (Eric Dickerson, 1,634 yards). Elliott needs 178 rushing yards for the most in the first 15 games.

I get his injury history, but so far nothing this year.. I think a 2 game rest (which means 3 weeks off, and 4 weeks between games, since the Boys get a bye) is too long to be not playing.. I realize he came back strong, though, after missing much of 2 seasons, so.. maybe he wouldn't miss a beat.

Hopefully Sean not making the probowl will be a mute point.

Let's see if the boys can keep walkin' the walk!

Yippee Ki Yay, motherfucker!
With our great rookie quarter back and running back and a young pro bowl offensive line unit we may actually have a chance at this thing this year. IE, especially speaking of Dak and Zeke being brand new and basically no knowledge of the Cowboys disfunctional loosing culture Jerry Jones created over the last 20 years programmed into their brain computer to bring them down.

And hopefully this "amnesia" to a loosing franchise will carry the team for a couple of years until Jerry Jones finally is to old and stays out of the way. Unfortunately listening to Stephen Jones talk the last few years he sounds to much like his dad and that worries me that there will just more of the same for the next 20 years, IE. the Cowboys are all about flash, style, making money and no substance... "the cardassians of the NFL". No talent, they are just popular for being popular.

I admit I am excited now and optimistic about us entering the playoffs but I can't trust it unless we advance to the NFC champion ship game. During Landry's and Jimmy Johnson's years I COULD NOT WAIT until Sunday or Monday nights to watch the Cowboys but for the last 10 years when I began to realize because of Jerry Jones this franchise is hopeless their games became just a television show. Kind of like a Reality show on TV. If they win, cool. If they get their heads handed to them on national television well, that is entertaining to. Who cared, right. This team was never going to make a playoff run much less a super bowl appearance so why get excited.

I agree that we should not get over excited.. this team is great, but Green Bay and Seattle can take us if we lose focus.. don't look past the first round, assuming we will advance.

I expect Romo will play the second half Sunday.. and he should.. if it were me in charge, I would announce it tomorrow, that Dak plays all of the first half, Romo the second.. period.. no need to have people speculating that Romo came in "because...".. just have him play regardless of the score, or Dak's first half numbers.. and rest Zeke the entire second half.
Romo looks great today!
