Covid and now all the cities are burning down from riots

A surge is inevitable and just needs to be controlled. Targeted shut down where the virus is popping makes sense. We have some treatments now and know a lot more about how the virus works. We are testing more we will have a rise in infections but hospitalized counts are rising too ( that’s bad ) . Death count lags and we won’t see the current infectees ( is that a word ?) dying for a few weeks.

I guess some folks thought that protesting and vandalizing meant they were immune. I hope throwing a brick through a window of a business, looting businesses and marching down the sreet with a sign was worth it, morons!

All of the surge states have a high Hispanic population.

First wave hit the west coast from China. Second wave hit New York, New Jersey and Connecticut through flights from Italy.

Last wave came from south of the border I think. South / Central America and Mexico. Flight into Miami from Brazil and border crossers from south / Central America through Mexico. Lot of these people probably work in the bars and restaurants where it spread.

Hospital counts are rising because people who go to the hospital might also have covid but they might not be there BECAUSE of covid. You need to know that.

The death rate has been very low despite the rise of cases.

I understand the argument against shut downs but it’s the hand book for epidemiologists. Right or wrong they are who should be the ones planning the response. Follow the science right ? Lots of testing , quarantine the positives with contact tracing and targeted shut downs when the virus spikes. That’s the most basic SOP for disease outbreaks. Houston should be on lockdown now but other places should continue phased opening.

It's the ultraviolet light that kills the virus , the same ultraviolet light that is blocked by your windshield and windows. reason you don't get a sunburn while driving with the windows rolled up and ac on. Originally Posted by bigtoe

One thing I have not been able to determine is how much heat does it take to kill the virus. On a hot Texas day, the interior of a vehicle can range from 130F to 172F. Not many of earth's organisms can live at those temps. I hope that heat from a hot car interior can kill it, but I was not able to determine for sure.

Probably Known as the American virus now with how bad it was botched.

United States have 40 times as many cases as China now and over 12 times as many as Italy. Embarrassing.

12 times as many as Italy you say??? Well the US has 5.5 times as many people and is a shit load more traveled and open than Italy. And if there were some kind of mass gatherings in the last few weeks where people just ignored the social distancing recommendations... hmm....

Oh by the way... can you tell me what the DEATH rate is vs. those Countries? Because that's the only real metric that matters... we could have 12x the number of infections than Italy because our testing is more widespread.

So basically, it should probably still be called the Wuhan Flu since that's where it originated from and you numbers are meaningless stats babble that are meant to leave a negative impression but instead just prove that you don't understand math.

Remember a couple of months back when the "experts" predicted 3.5 million dead? Yeah where are all the dead people? Are you trying to tell me that President Donald Trump saved the lives of 3.2 million people??? Holy shit you'd think this might be in the news somewhere!!!

Conspiracy funny how that always comes up BUT > ( wow just look into FACTs) Fauci said 01/11/17 " A surprise outbreak is coming" ( The Wuhan Lab by Morrell 2017 )
Side note are friend Fauci has been called the " Bernie Madoff of science for making millions off of virus research.
( Plague of Corruption 2008 / and Plague 2009 )
Along with China not being honest Connect the dots

And follow the science? We followed Fauci for months and look where we got. Nowhere.

Also, no to contact tracing. This is America. Don't forget that.

To believe these commie shitheads is beyond stupid.

Go fucking learn something.

Europe banned US travelers from their country. China is allowed in. That tells you what the truth is.

The US is the only non third world country that still doesn’t have it under control.

Define "under control" dallas.

Because our death rates are steady.
Our PPE is holding strong.
We're testing MORE than ever before.

Instead of looking at the big number, try to examine what those numbers mean.

Also, tell me exactly how that fails to a country that jailed its own local governments for trying to bring this issue to the forefront.

Again, stop cucking to China. (Or at least Xi)
