My concern with AOC is neither her gender, nor the rather obvious fact that she's not exactly one of the brighter porch lights on the block.
It's her ideology, which is well within the furthest left quintile of the population.
I would prefer that the first female US president, whoever she may be, espouse views much closer to Margaret Thatcher's than to Rosa Luxemburg's. (I'm afraid AOC's worldview is uncomfortably close to that once held by the latter.)
I like Shapiro too. I don't always agree with him, but he is much smarter, more capable & experienced, and inspires more confidence than AOC.
OMG! That makes 2 conservative residents of PA who think highly of our Dem Governor. Betcha there are a lot more!

Add a moderately conservative Texan who sees a lot to like about Shapiro, too -- especially by comparison with AOC, Gavin, Kamala, and most of the other likely Democratic primary candidates. I doubt seriously that you'll ever see Josh out there talking about banning fracking, suggesting pissing away trillions of dollars on "green new deal" fantasies, or pushing taxation of unrealized capital gains.
