Perpetual Weight Loss Thread

It's hard to believe that you can eat cheeseburgers with bacon and still lose weight. I mean, I'm not complaining or anything. Lol

Thanks for your compliment sweetie!
I just made my own keto-friendly mayonnaise with olive oil!

I've been doing more reading on this diet and they do not recommend that you consume soybean oil... Unfortunately, all store-bought mayonnaise contains soybean oil. I think it would also work with liquid coconut oil! I'm going to try that next time.

That feeling when you're so close to your goal weight but just can't quite get there... guess I need to step it up!

Ooh a Keto-ish thread!! Seek and ye shall find!!

I'm not a local-- so the majority of you aren't aware of the background info.. to keep it short and sweet, I'm currently going through chemo.

Nutritionist placed me on a keto diet after my first round of treatment to help with both my energy levels, and to keep me away from sugar (sugar feeds tumor growth depending on the type of cancer).

Since switching up the diet, I'm down 14 pounds. This is in 5 weeks.. so I'm pretty chuffed!!

I am not yet working out. I've had to cut expenses since I'm not able to tour or hobby while my immune system is down... and between treatments and keto causing me to be "warmer" than normal.. walking isn't gonna happen much until the temps here dip down below 80.

My favorite new discovery-- coconut milk in my morning and evening tea! It has helped me keep my calories up on the days where I don't feel like eating.. and it helps me keep my fat macros in line. I use the unsweetened coconut milk and a packet of stevia. Heaven.. and it curbs any sweet tooth cravings.

Macros wise-- I'm keeping to around 1200-1400 calories per day, 70% fat, 20% protein, 10% carbs. My typical carb intake is around 16ish grams per day (net).

I have tons of info from my nutritionist about this whole diet.. totally digging it. I was losing some weight before all this.. but this has seriously ramped it up. I have about 30ish pounds to go.. then I'll see how I look/feel and decide if I want to drop a few more or not.
Welcome Grace! Wow, your macros look great - and your carb level. I know at least a couple of our local providers here have been doing strict keto. I do lazy keto, but combined with an intermittent fasting regimen.

I also do the coconut milk with stevia thing somethings. Love it!

Sincere best wishes with your treatment. Come hang out with us here any time!

I do strict keto-- and after another 7 weeks I'll be allowed to do IF if I choose. Some days I unintentionally do it due to nausea.. but the tea technically keeps it from truly being IF.

Officially down 40 pounds as of this morning
Don't know if this thread is still active, but I've reached and passed (by a couple pounds) of 170! There's still a month and a half left in the year, let's see if I can drop a couple more.

Just to rub it in a little more:

I'm going to a wedding this weekend, so I dusted off my suit jackets. I've lost enough that they look and feel just a little too big on me.
TFW you realize you have the body of Ron Jeremy with less hair. Must get back on track!
