Black women in the industry

There are a lot of reasons a guy may not choose to review a particular provider. It may not even have to do with a provider sometimes.

Some don't review until they need premium access.

Some don't because the provider they saw has multiple reviews already on the first page.

Some because they heard a provider they like won't see them if they've seen a certain provider.

Maybe they had such a great time they can't put it into words (yes it does happen).

The list goes on and on. It's not always a racial reason.

I am sorry you have to deal with such stupidity and arrogance. I think I, too, have been a victim of this at time because I am more of a fuller figured woman vs a spinner type and I do understand what you mean about the persona some try so hard to portray within the manly community.

I have heard of this and seen it in my area and while it makes no sense to let others silently bully you into only reviewing certain people and not others- I suppose some men are just weak that way. I dunno.....

This is a situation I am encountering on this board. Some guy do have a preference on whom they choose to review or not because they are so concerned about their image trying to build up a reputation as a "Blonde Spinner Chaser". I mean it's their prerogative who they choose to review, but after seeing certain gentlemen multiple times it still stings me when I seen they've review everyone under the sun except me.

I know the reason why but I would hate to ruin friendships that I've made based on conclusions I have gathered.

But hey these are the things you have to deal with I guess Originally Posted by SkylarCruzWantsYou

Out of 27 review this year in the Carolinas, 10 were black providers, so that isn't that out of line considering the ratio of black providers to other races.

The disturbing part is only 27 reviews so far this year.

Rarely is subjective. The number of reviews, the gaps between reviews of quality providers was my point. I hobby sporadically, and prefer dates older than my daughter (which cuts out the younger ladies), so my pool is smaller than some (that's pool, not tool lol). Skylar & Kelli understand the nature of my posting. Is it always racial, no.

You are uninformed.. This thread however is informative to those that do not already know whats up...xxoo annie
Flec,
That's just wrong. Eccie is a developing board in the Carolinas, as the numbers reflect. Other info sources are more established here...Get that sista into your town and treat her well, she'll return, you'll be happy, EOS.

Great thread. While I have never seen an AA provider (looking to rememdy that soon) I have dated all ethnicities in the past, including AA.

Did you know that this racial preference is severely magnified in other countries? I'm speaking specifically of southeast Asia here, as that is my only experience outside of the states.

In SE Asia, the rates for girls are strictly defined BY ethnicity. You contact an agency and they tell you "It's X for chinese girl, Y for Indonesian girl, Z for Thai girl..." The FIRST selection is the race. The brothels will ask what "type" of girl you want. They don't mean spinner, BBW, etc...they are asking what race you want. Although they don't seem to be suprised that westerners look past this and focus on other aspects.

What I'm saying is that skin tone, hell just plain race, IS a determining factor for some people. They see it as no different than preferring short women, or blondes. And saying they are somehow wrong or racist for having that bias is not reasonable in my opinion. If I said "I don't like to see short hair women because they seem less feminine and tomboyish", would I be close-minded? If I said "Short haired women are not feminine", that's a stereotype and being close minded. But stating a preference is just that, a preference and nobody else's business.

Now, for the full disclaimer: I and all of my siblings have dated or married people OTHER than our race - everything from AA to Indian to Asian and every other mix you can think of. (which humorously made my bigoted grandmother throw fits) And all of the children from these relationships are mixed and (in my opinion) beautiful.

After reading this thread it seems to me that hardly anyone has a problem with black women in the industry. In all seriousness though I have been with some very attractive AA girls both provider and civilian. Of course the last time an AA girl brought me home, I found out I was the "nerdy white guy" to all her family, so stereotypes work both ways I guess, lol.

The wierd thing is, and I don't know how this will be taken, I don't find myself judging attraction based on color, but all the AA girls I find attractive have straight hair vs not straight. I honestly don't know if that is even racist or not, but I don't see it as an issue of better or superior, just my personal preference of what I like vs what I don't like.

I also like women with curves, which I find to be mostly Latina and AA but I also see that as just what I am attracted to and not tied to color. Honestly I'll pursue a girl of any race that I find attractive, trust me, I've seen me do it, lol.

Thanks for the responses guys!!! :-)

To the others: As an black provider, I never had problem making money. However, I got sick of MY black friends telling me that they couldn't make money because they were black and felt they were in competition with the all american blonde girls. Now I know that we all don't look the same. So I tried to figure out if it was just that they weren't "pretty" enough or if their base wasn't ebony friendly.

I know the reason why but I would hate to ruin friendships that I've made based on conclusions I have gathered.

I agree with True Whatever cause preference is preference and personal on all levels. It's nothing you should have to defend and all children ARE beautiful.

Here's my question for you Naomi, would you do a white blond girl cause I would do you! *wigglin eyebrows* and my preference is professional white men. There is a market for everyone... all races, all ages, all sizes. I think white blond girls are just as victimized. We are air heads and the only thing we are good for is sex. I think everybody should do what they wanna do and leave others to do what they want to do. I dyed my hair black one time to escape the stereo type. I know that AA girls don't have that option but this is what I have learned "I love me and that's all that matters". I worked in a club one time with 19 brunettes and 3 of us blondes. The brunettes hated us and I was the only one nice to the red head. The club was known as all white but it didn't even stop there. It came down to hair and not one thought about what was under that hair. I'm glad the world is changing though. There are bad apples in every bunch. That's why I decided to be a cherry *giggles*
