best bang for a buck

recommendations, standing ovations, shot outs…
Book a flight and hotel to Bogota for a few days and find a nearby "spa". Flight is around $300-$400, hotel around $60/night and the "spa" action will run about $20-$40 per hour. I usually go once every 6-8 weeks to recharge the old libido. Its easy to see between 4-8 girls depending on the amount days. Normal trip runs about $700-$1000 with the flight being the most expensive variable by far.

@thewoodthatcould - it'd be great if you'd post a trip report of you time in Colombia so those of us who haven't been could see what it's like and decide if we want to give it a go.

Thanks for putting that together. Can you be specific with:
* actual hotel name you stay at
* favorite spa name you trust
* safest way to travel from airport to hotel ?
( all the above for Bogata & Guadalajara)

Medellín, Colombia:
If you want to be around all the gringos and a tourist haven with higher prices and hardened Pros, clip joints and scammers quoting prices in US Dollars then base yourself in Poblado or Parque Lleras.
As for myself I prefer Laureles near La 70 and stay in San Peter Suites. If you're adventurous you can stay in El Centro at the Nutibara near Botero Plaza and Ground Zero.

Bogotá, Colombia:
I like Santa Fe and Chapinero neighborhoods. I stay in the Bacata building (tallest bldg in Colombia) in Santa Fe. Walking distance to lots of action.

Cartagena, Colombia:
I stay in one of the many highrise condos on the beach in El Laguito and Bocagrande. Action on the beach. Good place to start is Hollywood Beach. You can also stay in El Centro or walled city. Action near Clock Town or on of the many clubs in the area.

When I travel anywhere abroad I tend to avoid tourist locations and gringos. I prefer to be among more locals and places not heavily influenced by foreigners. Otherwise, more authentic.
I concur with everything you said. If you clearly stick out as a gringo, pale skin, light eyes and hair, etc know that you are a target. The best mitigation for that is to find one or two local guys and have a genuine friendship with them and let them take you around. You'll be amazed. I still get text messages every other month from a club (brothel) manager asking when I'll be back and if I need anything (including a ride from the airport that's 30 minutes away) to make sure that I have a great time in Medellín. Tantra Spa in bogota is my go to and it's 2 blocks from a 4 star hotel. Go where people treat you well because obviously our homes aren't that place
I've been off the board for a couple of years like I stated so I'm not sure of all the rule changes so if I violate one please don't ban me, I've been a member since 2015 (my old account was GOJC) just delete the post, but I wanted to share a few pics of my go to spot in Bogota of that is permitted. https://tantraspa72.wixsite.com/tant...oprepagos-Samy
When you read their site, understand that the exchange rate in Colombia is 4000COP=$1 Mexico is $20MXD=$1 and in the Philippines is 50PHP=$1
