***The Keurig & Swedish Crepes & Wines***

Good morning Iowan!!!

This is a new coffee shop so speak. I enjoy a good morning cup of coffee and Keurig can brews in less than 5 second.. Whoever, invented that machine is a millionaire!

Secondly, I like the lighter batter of a pancakes. So, a Swedish crepes like the ones that they were serving at IHOP. I am sure there is an IHOP in DSM area for me to enjoy if not Cracker Barrel apple topping is my favorite, too!

So, tell me about your local favorites ie: restaurants, Festivals, things to do in summer time. Will there be some festivals coming up soon?

If you 've been to OKC or have not. Today is the last day of Festivals of the Arts it is a major events. I mean food vendors serving all kind of foods, Strawberry Newport was so good! Artists came from all over the country. I love their Arts works but very expensive just to hang on the wall. But they did make the sales and profitable from the event.

Next weekend in Arts Festival in Edmond, OK. That one I will go. Also, They do have wine tasting and sell them by the local Wineries makers.

Do you Like Wine? Are there any wineries in IA?

Muah!!

Java Joes downtown and at the bus terminal...great coffee. Decent breakfasts at the downtown location.

Better yet, Smokey Row near Drake for both breakfast and coffee.

For breakfast, I love the corner cafe on 100th in Urbandale; or, Waveland on University near west side. On a Saturday or Sunday, brunch is great at Django's and Centro and they are both great! The latter two have pretty good coffee too.

sounds like many good locals ma and pa home cook breakfast.
Downtown Farmers Market on Saturday morning. One of the best in the country. Le Mie bakery, on 42nd St. Best croissant style pastries you will ever have in your life. Breakfast at Jethro's Bacon Bacon on 22nd St., WDsM. Have the Des Moines Hash. Awesome smoked meats and...BACON!
Corner Cafe isn't on 100th anymore. They share a building with Overtime Sports Bar on 86th just off of the interstate I believe.
I like Farmer's market. Right now I 'm due to check out on Friday but If I have some more request to keep me on Friday then I can check out on Sat and visit the local Farmer's market.

Any local wineries?
I don't like that coffee machine just cause I like big cups of coffee and I drink probably when at home two pots a day, my mom got one and I'm like wth, keep going lol my dad don't like it either so he put it by my mom's chair and it's used by only her at her house lol
Keurig is good for people who drink a cup a day. Quick and easy way to make it on to go! I used to have those classic coffee post but all it is that I wasted them more than anything. Yes, it is higher prices for single cup but the catch of it is the convenience that is what we paid for.

I agree with Shayla on this one
I'm really interested to see if there is any good winery or wines tasting in IA.

Just google winery in Iowa. There are a bunch of them. I can't say what is good, I'm a foodie, not a wino.
