Providers - is it a thing for real providers to ask for a deposit before seeing someone? I've seen half now / half later, & Google points being asked. This raises my SCAM red flags, similar to "load up a gift card, give me the numbers, & I'll see you".
Is this a scam, or am I being paranoid?
If it's not a 3hr or longer date I don't normally ask.
It's not foolproof BUT there's a very good chance you WON'T be scammed if the provider asking is someone who has been established for quite some time (say 5 yrs+).
Most of us know it takes a very long time to build a great rep but in the blink of an eye it can be ruined.
Smarter providers are NOT risking that for a few bucks.
We understand that the long game and repeat clientele is also worth more than a quick cash grab. There's no ladies getting rich and riding off into the sunset off of a $300, $400 deposit.
I steer clear of any provider asking for money before the actual meet. Dont fall for it. Scam.
