Ah yes, the best bomber in the world and of all time. The older ones having been in service for over sixty years. Most of the crew members that man them these days were not even alive when the youngest of these aircraft rolled off the assembly line.

A truly magnificent airplane.

When I was a kid in the early 70's in Georgia I was plowing soybeans early one morning right after sun up.. near Savannah and a Buff was on a low level training run near Fort Stewart townsend range...and it came over my back at less than 50 feet and about 300 MPH as it passed over me it was like a flash with no sound..lighting fast....as big as it is....and it approached the pines at the other end of the field and never climbed......just stayed in the tree tops rolling along like an unstoppable force...black smoke trailing along like a freight train..(and then seconds later I heard it and smelled it and it was already gone)....it was the most awesome and the loudest experience in my life up to that point ...and is responsible for what followed later ---2313 hours in all kinds of stuff ending with the F-4S Many hours with never a dull moment in the trees and weeds and coming home in fog and rain ...rolling as fast as a fresh fucked fox in a forest fire.. (giggle)..and old times there are not forgotten....
