YOU KNOW I AM TIRED OF THESE CELEBRITIES GOING ON TV TRYING TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE HAITI PEOPLE. NOW THAT BIG EARTHQUAKE SHOOK THE EARTH IN JAPAN. WHERE THE HELL ARE ALL THE CELEBRITIES RAISING MONEY FOR JAPAN, WHERE IS WYCLEF AND GEORGE BUSH AND CLINTON. WHERE THE HELL IS BEYONCE AND JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE'S TELETHON. NOW IT SHOWS THAT THESE PEOPLE DON'T REALLY CARE SO I SAY FUCK ALL OF YOU!!!

A few things.
1. It hasn't been that long; give it time for these sort of movements/charities to develop.
2. There is a notion (whether misconceived or not) that Japan is much more capable of handling their own problems then Haiti. They are a much wealthier nation with an economy ~950X the size of Haiti. Haiti is desperately poor and Japan is quite prosperous so maybe the world doesn't feel as compelled to help them as they would Haiti.
3. PLEASE DON'T TYPE IN ALL CAPS!

A few things.You are correct and also, I have already seen a few pledges from celebrities vowing assistance in addition to Obama committing to the prime minister any help necessary including 2 carrier groups that are already there. Japan already has the assistance of 65 countries last I heard.

My original post really didn't have anything to do with the fact that japan is a wealthier nation compared to haiti. I am making the point that celebrity telethons where broadcasted literally the next day. That is all I am trying to say

You may be right buddha cuz I'll admit the first I heard about what happened my initial reaction was "Well if anyone can pull themselves out of that mess it's Japan" but then when I learned how bad it really was I thought they were gonna need allot of help. Maybe that's what the delay is if any.
