Dollar Shave Club

Has anyone joined? If so, how is the quality?

I shave, often, I use men's razors around my unmentionable sensitive areas, schick hydro 5. So I have decided to give the dollar shave club a try. I signed up for the executive razor at 9 dollars a month. Success will be no shave bumps, lol.

They have not come in yet, I was curious if any of you gents have tried them and if so, are they good razors?

I've been thinking about joining and using their 4 blades. Would love to hear some feedback as well.
I personally use a Merkur progress and feather DE blades. My shaving cost is significantly cheaper and a better quality.
I'll give them about a week of use and then come back and update yall.
I want to join just because their commercials are funny as fuck. "Your handsome ass grandfather had one blade AND polio." That's so awesome.

My only possible nit-pick so far is the handle is shaped & made of plastic, so I can't whack it against the side of the sink to get my incredibly short & dense hair out of the razor as easily. OTOH--the blade & head of the razor are designed more openly for easier rinsing, if you have decent water pressure (mine is mediocre).

But that's minor. As I said thus far the SHAVE is equivalent (if not a tiny bit better--it doesn't do my neck quite as well but it does slightly better on my chin & just below my lip), for ca. 15% of the cost I've been paying (including shipping, which is only charged on the dollar-shave-blade models).

I would trust you with a straight razor. Can I request a heart shape?
The one thing to watch is the constant "add ons". Quality products, but if you don't watch it, its the $50 a month club....

Though, I DO love the wipes....

With regards to Dollar Shave Club, let me ask you this:

Do you REALLY want yet another recurring monthly cost? If you're looking for cheap, yet durable razors, I'd go with Dorcousa.com . I purchase from them every six months or so and have always been happy with the result. Check it out for yourself and decide.

If you use my referral link, you can get 15% off your order:

The 4 blade razors work just fine. Much cheaper than the stuff you buy in the stores. The shave butter works great as well. It doesn't lather up too well, but it gets the job done. There are add on options, but as long as you stick to the razors it seems to be a pretty good deal.
